Chapter 36

I took a deep breath, holding my hand up to the brown, wooden door. I had been standing here for over twenty minutes, gathering up the nerve to knock. I was finally ready.

I knocked on the door, and heard rustling from inside. The door opened moments later, and I was met with the familiar feminine face. Her hair was now a dark brown, no longer black.

"Marissa." I breathed out, my heart starting to beat quicker.

Marissa rolled her eyes, then tried to shut the door on me, but I pushed my weight against it, opening it once again.

"No, I'm not leaving until I can explain." I said, crossing my arms.

"Get out of my house." Marissa said in a stern voice, not looking me in the eyes.

"I know you're pissed, but I... I do... Miss you? Yeah, I do miss you. I'm sorry, just let me explain? Please?" I spoke out nervously, fumbling up on my words quite often.

Marissa sighed, rubbing her forehead, "If I let you explain, will you leave?"

"Yes."

-

"You could've told me you were hanging out with them, Jesus, I would've backed off of them." Marissa said like I should have known that.

I honestly think she's lying. I know hat she would've been begging to hang out with the boys, but I let her lies slide. I needed her back in my life, she was my friend. I couldn't lose her over something stupid.

I nodded, "I know, I guess I just didn't see it that way back then. But you honestly could've not told the fans my social media. I had to go private on Twitter."

Marissa blushed, not meeting my eyes, "Yeah, sorry about that. Tristan told me that I should do it."

I fisted my hands, Tristan. I had totally forgotten that that twat existed.

"I'm sorry, for everything, really." I gave a small smile, and Marissa smiled back.

"Me too, I'm glad we made up. I was acting childish, and it makes sense now that you've cleared it up. I guess girls really are over-dramatic."

"So, you still want me to hook you up with Luke?" I asked, kicking my feet up on Marissa's couch like it was my own house.

Like she used to say, my house is your house.

My best friends once again blushed.

I tilted my head, "You didn't." I said in disbelief. I had a feeling that I knew exactly who she was dating.

Marissa nodded, a smile appearant on her face, "Yeah, I did. I'm dating Tristan now."

"Well, even though he might not like me, I'm happy for you. But, if he hurts you, then I'll kick his ass."

Marissa just rolled her eyes, "You only see the side of Tristan that he shows you, he's actually a sweetheart. I'm not sure why he doesn't like you, he won't tell me."

I shrugged, while me and my best friend caught up.

-

"You're going to tell me that you and Michael have never had sex?" Marissa asked in disbelief, sticking more popcorn in her mouth.

I blushed, shaking my head once more, "No."

"God, he seems like he would fuck within the first month. It's shocking how when you actually meet a famous person, they're different than how the media plays them out to be." Marissa said, staring off into space.

"He's not very different, though."

"If you find out when he wants to fuck, we'll have to buy some cute underwear for you, God knows you don't own any." Marissa said. She was so blunt about stuff sometimes.

I choked on my popcorn, "Marissa!"

"What? It's true! Michael won't want to look at Pokémon underwear... actually, he might want to. But, correct me if I'm wrong, he likes girls in red lace."

"I don't know what he likes..." I mumbled, becoming uncomfortable.

"God, you're such a baby! You can't handle me talking about underwear!" Marissa groaned, throwing popcorn at me.

I rolled my eyes, knowing she was just teasing me now.
