Jonny held Chris' hand as they walked into the studio. Their first debut album was almost finished, but, according to Phil, they needed another song to fit in the album, really giving it that melancholy feel.
Since no one could come up with any good ideas for a song, they were released early.
Chris had an aching feeling in his chest, as if he had heartburn. He didn't want to tell Jonny, as he knew why he was having these pains.
They were walking home, and suddenly the pain became too much. Chris fell to his knees on the sidewalk and gripped at his chest.
"Chris!" Jonny shouted, worried. Everyone on the street ran to them, worried for the blue-eyed man on the ground.
"Guys I'm ergh... I'm fine, really," Chris said, trying to stand through the pain. He knew this was gonna turn out bad. Too many people. He needed privacy.
So, through the pain, he began to run. He ran back to his small flat that he shared with Jonny, as fast as he could.
"CHRIS!"
He turned the key, unlocked the door, and locked it behind him, making sure that Jonny couldn't get in. He felt horrible, but he had to in order to protect the love of his life.
It seemed as if he'd made it just on time, for as soon as the door was locked, the president of Ollama's hologram appeared in his living room. The pain in his chest immediately subsided and he let out a large sigh of relief.
"Mr. Martin! How are things coming with your Earth mission?"
Chris stood there, still out of breath. "Fantastic, actually. I- huff huff- joined a band, and we're starting to get pretty popular."
"Ah, so you're making money."
"And power. Musicians have a lot of say around here."
"I see! So have you made any children yet?"
Chris paused. "I uh... children, sir?"
"Yes! I told you to reproduce as well. You do have a woman, don't you?"
"Well I uh... not... not exactly, but I-"
The president grunted. "Mr. Martin! I told you to reproduce, and you will not fail me, do you understand?"
Chris gulped. He thought about Jonny, then hesitantly, he nodded. "Yes, sir."
"This is where your father failed me. He was an insult to our planet. I trust that you will not do the same."
Chris nodded, tears beginning to form in his eyes.
"I will be watching you, Mr. Martin. Don't you forget that."
The hologram faded and a very sick feeling entered Chris' stomach. He would have to break up with Jonny. He'd be forced to find a woman and be the father of her children.
But he wanted Jonny's children. Not some random woman's. He wanted to be forever with Jonny. No one else.
He suddenly had to run to the bathroom. He released the contents of his stomach and wept. He wept for his father, for his child that he would someday be forced to have, and most importantly, he wept for Jonny.
When he had enough strength to get up, he unlocked the door and plopped on his bed. Maybe he wouldn't break up with him right away. Maybe he'd give it a year or two. Reproducing wasn't a priority yet. Chris sat up and nodded to himself. Two more years with him, he thought to himself.
He looked at the door and noticed Jonny wasn't home yet. Worried, Chris grabbed the mobile that Jonny had given him for his alleged birthday (on Ollama, birthdays weren't celebrated like they were on earth, so he made up a date: March 2nd). He saw that Will, Phil, and Guy had all left him a message, but nothing from J.
