Back at the hotel room, which Jonny had decided to share with Chris, Jonny waited impatiently for Chloe to call him. Chris, who was wasted as fuck, stumbled into the room and basically fell onto his bed, where he fell asleep, his face in the pillow and his feet barely on the bed. Jonny chuckled. "You drunk twat." He got himself off of his bed to help the sleeping Chris get under the covers and into a comfortable position.

Just as he was covering the sleeping man with the hotel blankets, his mobile rang. He eagerly ran over to it and smiled at the unknown number, almost positive it was her.

"Hello?"

"Hola, Jonny!" The voice from the other end giggled. "Como estás?"

Not great with Spanish, Jonny had to think for a moment before answering, and his reply was really butchered. "Uh... bee-yen."

Chloe laughed and he smiled at the sound of her melodious voice. "Not fluent in your Spanish?"

Jonny's smile was so large that she could almost see his grin through the phone. "I'm bloody awful with languages!"

She laughed again and his heart seemed to skip a beat, which startled him. He was so used to the feeling, but never with a woman. That feeling had only ever come to him when Chris was around. He couldn't be falling in love with Chloe yet... could he? Chris married Gwenyth only a year after they'd met. Maybe he had felt the same thing for Gwen that Jonny did for Chloe. Then again, he had promised Jonny that they would get back together, he promised-

"Jonny?"

He snapped out of his confusing thoughts and sighed. Whether it be in contentment, relief, or distress, no one could tell. "Sorry. I was thinking."

"You seem to do that a lot."

"Yeah... sorry. It's just that... sometimes I have a lot on my mind."

"That's alright, we all do."

"Yeah."

They sat in silence for a moment that was more reflective than awkward.

"Jonny?"

"Hmm?"

He could hear Chloe take a deep breath from the other end of the line. "I like you."

This brought a sad smile to Jonny's face. Maybe he had found the one. Of course, no one would ever compare to his true love, but Chloe was beautiful, funny, and seemingly intelligent. She had opened up to a man that she had just met, partially because she needed to and partially because she trusted him. Jonny had an immense amount of respect for her. Even if they didn't up together, he promised himself that they would remain friends.

"Oh?"

A sigh. "Yeah."

"Is that your way of asking me on a date?" Jonny teased.

Chloe giggled. He liked that he could act so much like himself around her. He had never met another girl where he could simply be himself around. "I guess you could say that."

Well, it seemed like Jonny had just been asked out on a date, for the first time since his breakup. "I would love to."

"Yay! I'm so glad we can spend more time together."

"Me too," he replied sincerely.

"So... tomorrow night at 8? At my place?"

"Sounds like a plan."

Chloe giggled again. "Great. I'll send you my address via text. I guess I should let you get some sleep."

"I should probably let you let me get some sleep," he replied. What kind of idiotic reply was that? He asked himself.
