So much was flooding through Chris' mind as Jonny grabbed his hand and practically drug him to the transit. He had thought that he'd put his feelings for Jonny away, but sometimes there would be days like today where the fire burning in his chest couldn't be put out. Some days were easier than others to simply say that him and Jonny were just friends.
Tonight was gonna be a tricky one.
They were in Hong Kong, and the transit was usually extremely busy. It wasn't as bad tonight, but they were still careful to remain as inconspicuous as they possibly could. Jonny didn't have to hide much, as he wasn't usually recognized, so though he still was wearing his infamous hat, he put on a pair of Chris' sunglasses just in case. Chris had his hood up as he usually did in public, and he was also wearing a pair of sunglasses, despite it being nearly 11 o'clock.
"Shouldn't Vi be in bed?" Chris asked his friend, catching sight of the clock as they stepped onto the train.
Jonny shrugged. "She's on vacation. She has an excuse."
Chris chuckled. "I think I'm currently beating you in the parenting department, Jonny Boy," he teased.
"Don't act like you wouldn't spoil your kids if they were here!"
"Well..."
"Busted!" Jonny let out with a hearty laugh. The sound echoed through the car, and they lowered their voices when people turned towards them.
"You're gonna get us busted if you don't keep your voice down," Chris whispered.
Jonny blushed. "Sorry," he mumbled.
Aw, it's ok Jonny Boy.
"It's alright, J," Chris assured, patting Jonny's back, which was merely an excuse to touch him.
They rode the train in silence until they finally left at a station close to the Hard Rock Cafe.
"So what's the plan, J?" Chris asked, turning to look at the guitarist, whose green eyes sparkled even through his sunglasses.
So beautiful.
"Well, we're going to eat dinner at Hard Rock, then we're going down to the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront to see the Symphony of Lights."
Chris recalled reading about the Symphony of Lights in the Guinness Book of World Records. From the picture that was shown, it looked beautiful.
"Anything else?"
"Maybe we'll visit the markets. It depends how Violet is feeling."
Chris nodded and smiled as he imagined a whole night with Jonny. "Sounds great, Jonny Boy! Thanks for inviting me."
"Well I didn't want you to be alone."
Chris giggled. "How thoughtful of you."
They walked a couple of blocks to Hard Rock and quickly searched for Chloe and Violet. They were sitting at a booth, Violet in a booster seat next to her mum.
Jonny walked to Chloe and kissed her cheek, and Chris follows behind, a bit awkwardly. "I invited Chris to join us so he wouldn't be alone in his room."
Chloe flashed a smile at Chris. "Hola, Chris! I'm glad you could join us!"
Chris smiled. "Me too." He sat opposite of little Violet and Jonny sat beside him.
They talked, ate, and listened to music. Chris almost insisted that they change the music when Viva la Vida came on, but Chloe convinced him to leave it be and just ignore the music. "But it's bloody awful!" He giggled.
