Normani's POV
I walk away from Lauren and try to keep the tears from falling. Never knew this level of heartbreak was possible. It feel like a bullet went through my chest and it's stuck there.
"Mani wait!" Lauren yells
I walk outside and she grabs my hand, pulling us away from paparazzi.
"Lauren stop" I mumble
"Baby it looks bad but trust me I didn't know" She says
"You let someone give you hickies Lauren and you were smiling and moaning about it!" I yell
"It sounds bad but I promise I didn't know" She cries
"You sound stupid" I mumble
I lean on the brick wall next to her and just let out a deep breath.
"Please don't go" She says softly, coming next to me
I look over to her and watch the tears roll down her face, I walk in front of her and cup her face.
"Not once did I give you a reason to question our relationship, if you ever did that's your personal reason, I had nothing but love for you since the first day we met, I don't do shit to you but show you how much I love you" I say lowly
"I'm sorry, I should've been more aware of my surroundings" She says
"You betrayed my trust so bad, I wanna slap the shit outta you, cry to you, and forgive you all at once" I say
I feel my own tears finally fall and she reaches up to wipe them.
"Why baby? Why? You're supposed to be my best friend, the person I can lean on, the person who's supposed to be oh so in love with me for the past decade, what happened to that?" I sob
"I thought it was you, I was half sleep" She says
"Oh so now you don't recognize my lips or touch?" I ask
"I wasn't thinking right" She whines
"You're never thinking" I cry
I move away from her and try to calm myself down, I feel her arms around me and it causes me to cry more.
"I love you so much, more than any thing can describe, you just-fuuuuuucccckkk" I say
"I love you Normani, if I could I would fix all of this and not cause you any pain" She says
My hand finds hers and I rub over her fingers before softly kissing it.
"I love you too much to officially break up with you right now but we need to be apart for a while so I can think about it" I say
"Mani please no-"
"It's what's best"
