Normani's POV
Tonight we were gonna watch the sun rise we were sitting up in my room since the sun rise from this angle. We had dope snacks and food to keep us up and it was only a little pass midnight so we only had 7 more hours to go.
"Who's gonna be the first one to go to sleep?" Ariana laughs
"I know I'm gonna stay up" I say confidently
"We'll see about that" Zendaya says
"You just mad" I smirk
"I ain't mad, just facts from the last time" She laughs
"That's different, I ain't get no sleep the night before" I say
"Everybody but me and Dinah fell asleep within minutes" She says
"Oh well" I say
"Mani gon be out first again" Dinah laughs
"Unmm but guess what you're wrong" I say while standing up
"Ok then, you better not be the first one sleep" Zayn says
"Whatever" I chuckle
A couple hours go by and it's turning three, people were starting to doze off but shook it off. I ate some sour patch kids and stared out into the sky, it looks really pretty from this view, almost makes you forget about the reality of the world. 'Hello' by J. Cole played through the speakers and it really brung out my recent thoughts.
It goes onto five o'clock and I'm leaning by the window while tracing patterns of the stars.
The Stars
I sigh as my thoughts drift to Lauren, my favorite star. We still have the performance in two days, it'll be my first time seeing her in the last two weeks. Our rehearsals have been separate but it should work out fine.
I've been thinking more about everything and so far my thoughts about forgiving her haven't changed, I'll probably do it after the performance.
Zendaya and Dinah walk up to me and places a hand on each shoulder.
"Why you look like you going through it?" Zendaya asks
"It's just peaceful" I chuckle
She raises an eyebrow and I shrug my shoulders.
"And thinking about Lauren" I say
"All ears" Dinah says
"It's been long enough probably, so far I'm really starting to forgive her and if I still feel this way by the time we do our performance, then I'll completely forgive her" I say
"Laurmani is back!" She says
"You-" I start
"Laurmani is BACK my guy! Gang gang nigga!" Zendaya yells
"Can't tell yo black ass nothing" I say
"This black ass has her yacht sailing" She shoots back
"Ohhh Mani" Dinah instigates
"Hmph" I mumble
Soon the sun starts to rise and it was really pretty. The way it crept up from behind the buildings and tress looked like a paradise. Once it was fully in the sky we finally doze off. My mind floods with thoughts of Lauren and I allow it, falling to sleep with a smile on my face.
