Normani and Lauren were childhood friends and they split up from the outcome of suddenly going to different colleges. They meet again now that they're famous and old feelings come back.
I open the door to Justin and Zara and they walk in with confused faces.
"So what's so important that you couldn't say over the phone?" Justin asks
"Sit" I say
They sit next to me on the couch and I look them in their eyes.
"I wanna talk to you both about something really really important" I say
"We know this! Go!" He says
"Boy shut up!" I say
"Continue" He says
I take a deep breath and briefly close my eyes.
"I've been thinking and I think it's time for me and Lauren to go to the next level in our relationship" I say softly
"Ok,where you going with this?" Zara smirks
"I wanna marry her" I say
"FUCK YEA LETS DO THIS!" Justin smiles
"OK OK OK LETS PLAN IT OUT!" Zara says
"Types of rings" I smile
"Diamond of course, but the others I don't know to be honest" He says
"Y'all are gonna help me when I go" I say
"I'm ready!" They say
I smile and he picks me up handing me over his shoulder causing me to laugh.
"My best friends are finally gonna live their dreams" He says as he spins me around
"That's if she says yes" I chuckle nervously
"Oh trust me, she will" Zara smiles
A few days pass and today is the day I'm gonna go pick out the ring. I get a text from Zara saying that their downstairs and I rush down there.
"Alright let's do this!" She yells once I'm in the car
We get to the store and a jeweler walks up to us.
"Hi my name is Sebastian, see anything you like?" He asks
"Not yet" I say
"Well this ring right here has a ruby in the middle with diamonds surrounding it and some along the base of the ring, 14 karat" He says while pointing to it

It was a nice ass ring but I'm gonna look a little more just to make sure.
"That shit's DOPE!" Zara says
I nod my head and look at all the other rings the man points out, so far the first one is the winner.
"I think the first one, the rest aren't doing anything for me" I say
"Do you have a picture of the person?" He asks
I pull out my phone and show him a picture of Lauren and he nods his head.
"That would look great, definitely the first one" He says
"Are you ready to process the purchase or another time?" He asks
"Give us a few minutes" I say
He nods his head leaving us to make a decision.
"You think that's the one?" I ask
"That's definitely the one" Justin smiles
"The one" Zara says
I call the worker back over here and tell him that I want the first one. Let's just say It costs over five thousand dollars but it was well worth it, hopefully this goes well.
