The truth comes out

Chapter 5

Amelia's POV
"Surprise" Hailey yelled
"We thought that since it was your birthday yesterday day we would throw you a party!" Erick says happily.
" thanks guys I really appreciate it. But umm I don't have any friends except you guys so this won't really be a party. Just then 5 other people popped out from behind the couch
"Surprise!!!!" They all yelled. There was a middle aged woman and a man that looked around the same age. They both had chestnut brown hair and the girl had blue eyes and the man had brown eyes. There were three kids with them also all three has chestnut brown hair and two of them had brown eyes and one had blue eyes. There were two girls who looked older than me and a young boy. I quickly excused myself because I had a feeling I knew exactly who they were. I wanted to make a good first impression so I ran to my room. I put on my only dress I own which is a navy blue lace dress. I went to go out on macéra and blush. I looked at myself in the mirror and realized, I too, have long chestnut brown hair. The only difference is that I have hazel green eyes. When I was finally happy with my appearance I walked back into the room. Right away the three kids ran and jumped on my
"Me-me! I missed you so much!"
"Hey sis." One of the older girls said
"Sup meh sistaaa!" Other other girl said. I hate how j don't remember them. It breaks my heart to k ow we had so many memories and I don't remember them.
"Um hi..." I mumbled quietly. The older women whom I suspect is my mom ran up and engulfed me in a huge hug
"Oh my Amelia. When they took you I was so scared they would do something too your or, or... or kill you." She started crying. A lot. Wait it is she talking about. Who took me? I have Erick a questioning look
"I think it's time we all sit down." Erick motions everyone towards the couch.
My mom starts talking...
"When you were 15 soldiers came and demanded that they take you. They said all 15 year olds are at a risk of a deadly disease. They looked really official, badges, certificates, and everything. I figured for your safety we would have to let you go. You agreed and didn't really say anything. I don't know what they did with you. I am so sorry I trusted them I was so stupid. On the news it was saying there were 29, 15 year old girls missing. I was devastated to know that you were among them. Only 6 girls returned and all of them had there memories swiped. The police still haven't given up on the search. Oh Amelia I understand you don't remember me but I really want you to get to know me. And your siblings. This is Lucy and lily. They are twins and both 10 years old. This is josh he is 12."
"And I'm your dad" the man said. I don't know what to feel. I'm relieved to know that I found my parents and that they love me, but I don't wanna leave this place I really like Erick and Hailey. They have been there for me and I feel more comfortable around them then my own family. I have a lot to think k about I guess.
