CLARKE:
I ran over to him, with my heart in my throat.
"Bellamy?" I tried, touching his cheek. He didn't respond and my breath started to race and my heart was ready to jump out of my body.
"CLARKE?! Are you okay?" Jasper screamed from the hole I created in the top.
"He's here! Bellamy's here!" I yelled back.
"What?!" Octavia's voice hysterically came through.
I didn't want to say more before I knew he was alive. I put my ear to his mouth and felt his breath weakly blow against it. He's breathing.
"Bellamy?!" I said, my voice raising.
"Mmmhh" he groaned, with his eyes shut.
"Wake up, you asshole!" I demanded, my voice cracking.
"Clarke! Why the fuck aren't you answering me?" Octavia complained from above.
Bellamy groaned again but didn't open his eyes or respond to my words.
"Clarke!" Octavia yelled, when I didn't answer her, again. Of course she was frustrated, but I didn't find my voice before Bellamy had found his.
I gently touched her face, stroking his forehead and his hair backwards. Then suddenly his eyelids started to flutter.
"Bell?" I asked as loud as my voice would accept, but it sounded like a whisper.
"Princess" he sighed releved.
He's eyes were slowly opening, as he tried to focus on my face. He looked beaten up. Not physically but mentally. He looked pale, weak and skinny. Don't get me wrong, he had muscle, but he looked skinnyer than he used to, like he hadn't eaten for a while.
"He's okay, O" I yelled upwards the opening.
My head hurt from my fall, but seeing Bellamy again made me forget all the pain in the world. When he at last managed to focus and realize that I was real, he smiled weakly. I moved my lips down to his dry and cracked ones and I felt like I just found my home again. His lips wasn't as soft and warming as they used to be, but they were his and he was mine. When I broke our kiss, to give him some time to recover, he said;
"I'm sorry, Princess."
"For what?" I asked with a frown.
",For breaking my promise." It sounded like he pained him to talk. His voice was all raspy and dark.
"I guess you just have to make it up to me somehow." I said back, smiling at him.
I took his head I my lap and started stroking his hair again. I felt a lump in the back of his head and realized there was a cut. The blood had hardened and it didn't look infected, luckily. The weird thing about it was; it was stitched back together. Perfectly, well-done stitches.
"Clarke? Is there a way out of there?" Wilim asked from the hole.
I looked around, but all I saw was darkness. Everything was so confusing. Who would hurt him, then stitch him back up, to then put him in a dark hole to die?
"It's no use, Clarke..," Bellamy pained himself to say. "I've tried for days. There's no end to it."
I could feel my heartbeat raising and my hope failing.
"How did you get here?" I asked, surprised that I haven't thought of it sooner. Somebody must have put him in here, which meant that there had to be a way out.
"I don't know. It's like two days are just wiped away from my memory. I don't remember them, or anything they consisted of." He confusely explained. He didn't understand this more than I did. He had probably been through hell and he didn't even remember it. Maybe it was for the best.
"Bellamy? How did you get the cut in the back of your head?" I asked, hoping he maybe had some pictures stored in there somewhere. But all he had to say was "I don't know. When I woke up for the first time, it seemed pretty fresh."
He sat up slowly but he sadly didn't look better. I knew we had to get him out of here, and that fast.
"Hey, take it easy, okay?" I told him, as he tried to stand up.
"Oh, come on, Clarke! We all know that I. Don't die." He replied as his usual cocky self. And it made me wonder if he really believed he was immortal or if he just pretended to be. Either way, it made me smile. The way he made everyone around him believe he would never die. He turned to me as I said; "I am become death."
"Destroyer of worlds."
