you and your best friend had been frequenting the local coffee shop and had noticed how thisbrownhaired guy came in every day. you felt a little guilty for basically stalk him from your seat, observe him walk in and out of the small café while both of you fantasized over him. your friend dared you to walk up to him and give him your number and you thought: what could go wrong?
"hey," you told him, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear as you smiled at him.
"hey," he said, reciprocating the smile.
"um, i don't usually do this, but—i think you're really cute, so um, here's my number," you handed him the piece of paper and saw the shocked expression on his face, "i'm y/n, by the way."
"i—i'm barry," he mumbled out.
"okay, see you around, barry," you winked at him and swirled around, making your way back to your table.
