Grayson
A full year has passed since Ethan died and so much has happened in that year. We sold the warehouse because I had no use for it if I wasn't gonna do anymore videos, plus it held too many memories of Ethan. Mom's pregnant with our baby brother, who we all agreed should be named Grant- Ethan's middle name. And Cameron is moving away to go to college.
----
I help Cameron pack up her stuff for college. I fold up her clothes and put them into suitcases while she decides what other things to take with her, like pictures and stuff.
"Grayson, I'm gonna grab another box for this stuff. I didn't realize how much shit I had." Cameron says and walks out of the room.
I look under the bed to check and see if anything had gotten left under there, like clothes or stuff that she didn't have room for. I find a small, black suitcase nestled under the bed. I pull it out and undo the clasps, expecting to find old mementos or something but I find something totally shocking.
The things I pull out are a black robe and the other half of the psycho's mask. Cameron walks back into the room. I have my back turned to her.
"Is something wrong, Gray?" She asks.
"What the hell is this?" I ask angrily and hold up the mask for her to see.
"Grayson. It's not what it looks like." She says.
"Really? 'Cause it sure as hell looks like you have the same exact mask as the fucking psycho who murdered our brother!" I yell in her face.
"Okay, I'll admit it. The person in the mask was me and yes, I killed Ethan, but it was because I had no choice. Someone made me do it." Cameron says.
"What do you mean 'you had to?'"
"The person who made me do it said that they would kill you, Ethan, mom, and dad if I didn't terrorize you."
"Then why did you kill Ethan?"
"Because they said that if anyone saw my face, to kill them on the spot. I swear I didn't want to but I had to." She explains.
"Who are they?" I ask in a stern tone.
"I don't know. They never said, but they did say that it was someone you used to be close to."
As if on cue, my phone begins to ring. I take it from my pocket and look at the name.
"No Caller ID." It reads. I answer it anyway.
"Hello?" I say.
"Hello, Grayson. Miss me?" A familiar voice says from the other end.
"Nate? Nate Garner?" I gasp.
"That's right, old friend. I see you found the costume I gave your sister last year."
"How'd you know that?"
"There's a tiny camera sewn into the lenses of the mask. I'm looking right at you, Grayson. The look on your face is priceless."
"What do you want, Nate? Why are you doing this?"
"Remember when you kicked me from the 4OU Tour? This is payback for that along with destroying one of the best friendships I've ever had."
"I'll kill you, you son of a bitch!" I yell into the phone.
"Meet me at these coordinates and we'll settle things there." A text comes through with a set of coordinates. "See you then, Grayson Dolan." Nate hangs up the phone.
I open the text and copy the message into Google Maps.
"The warehouse." I say when Maps brings up the location. Nate wants me to return to the Dolan Twins warehouse. Back to Ethan.
