Chapter 3 bad prophecy here, but I did on purpose just so you know. Also, I know cats can't cry, but you know.

Smokeypaw raced into the leader's den at the sound of her name.

"You called?" Smokeypaw checked.

"Yes, we all have concluded that it's best if you know. The truth as been hidden for far too long." Steamstar announced. Smokeypaw examined the den. The den was nice and sandy with vines hanging down to block the entrance. Darkpool, Foxpaw, Mudstrike and Steamstar all sat down in the den.

Foxpaw was giving Smokeypaw a huge smirk.

"There was a prophecy for your brother, Smokeypaw." Mudstrike stated.

"There will be a fox destined to be at the sky." Foxpaw recited.

"However, I was also given a proficy about the fox." Darkpool meowed. "As long as the fox is at the sky, evil and betrayal will not fall upon the clans."
"What does this mean?" Smokeypaw asked.

"It means Foxpaw was meant to be leader. He needs to become a warrior as soon as possible. His training will be doubled everyday. Foxpaw has no need for apprentice duties and we need someone to take over his." Steamstar explained.

"You were the only one to take over my duties. Besides, you don't even matter." Foxpaw smirked.

"B-but I'm not going to have any time to train!" Smokeypaw complained.

"Yes you will. Plus, the other apprentices can't do it because they're going to be made warriors in under a moon." Steamstar replied. Smokeypaw sighed in return.

"Fine." Smokeypaw agreed as tears started to pour out of her eyes. I know you did this on purpose Foxpaw. I can't believe you'd do this to me. Smokeypaw padded into the clearing. She sat at the very edge of camp and watched as Steamstar called the clan to meet together.

Smokeypaw didn't say a word as Steamstar explained the situation and the prophecy. Smokeypaw didn't flinch as everyone turned to look at her when Steamstar announced she would be taking over his apprentice duties. Smokeypaw didn't even move when everyone went to sleep in their dens.

Smokeypaw stared glumly at the stars as she pondered what to do. Willowpaw and Rainpaw had volunteered to take over her apprentice duties today since she was new. Starting tomorrow she'd be doing apprentice duties every day. I don't see why they don't just move my apprentice duties to Foxpaw's days so I don't have to do them every day. Maybe Foxpaw had something to do with it.

Smokeypaw closed her eys and let sleep claim her. She was far too tired to complain about why she had to do more apprentice duties then she should have to do.

It had been an entire moon since Smokeypaw started Foxpaw's apprentice duties. Rainfall, Sunflow, and Willowfrost became warriors and Lilyheart moved into the nursery expecting Dewfeather's kits. Smokeypaw missed her first gathering as an apprentice, but Foxpaw was allowed to go.

"Don't you ever get fed up with it?" A voice spoke behind her as she was searching for moss.

"Tired of what?" Smokeypaw asked as she whipped around.

Snowleaf was pawing at some moss on a tree. "Don't you ever get tired of everyone treating Foxpaw like he's leader?" The hazel eyed warrior asked.

"Yeah, but why do you care?" Smokeypaw replied.

"A long time ago I had the best mate I could ask for. He was kind, caring, and loved me. Or so I thought. After I had my kits he told me to give them to StormClan or else he'd murder them and blame it on me. I knew they would believe him over me because he was the more popular one. Then, after I gave them away like he instructed me to do, he told the clan I gave them away which was true, but not out of my own free will. I told everyone the true story, but they didn't believe me. The leader then was a noble cat named Volestar. He was on his last life when he attacked StormClan to get the kit's back and unfortunately he didn't make it. We didn't get the kits back and everyone blamed me for losing our leader. My former mate then took a mate from StormClan and she had kits. The kits were raised in WaterClan and then they had kits. The clan eventually learned they were from StormClan, but they didn't stay mad like they did for me. Those kits should have never been born!" The senior warrior shared her story.

"Is your former mate still alive?" Smokeypaw hesitantly asked.

"No. He died of greencough." Snowleaf answered while twitching an ear nervously

"Oh, I see. Thank you for telling me this." Smokeypaw thanked Snowleaf.

"I hope you have better luck." Snowleaf called as Smokeypaw raced back to the clearing. Smokeypaw flicked her tail in acknowledgment.

Smokeypaw padded at a swift pace into the medicine cat den. She dropped the moss in the moss pile. She looked at herself in a pool of water. I look terrible. Smokeypaw lapped at the water, forgetting all her worries.

"Someone's thirsty." The medicine cat pointed out. Smokeypaw flattened her ears in embarrassment.

"Sorry Mudstrike. Do you want me to go soak some moss in water to make up for the water I drank." Smokeypaw asked.

"No, I want you to sit down, we need to talk." Mudstrike replied.

"Okay." Smokeypaw sat down curiously.

"You're doing all the apprentice duties by yourself so I wanted to know if you needed some help." Mudstrike meowed.

"That would be great, but you're already so busy and-" Mudstrike let out a mrrroow of laughter. Smokeypaw gazed at him curiously.

"I meant that I was going to speak to Steamstar about sharing the apprentice duties with other warriors." Mudstrike explained.

"Oh! That would be great. Thank you so much!" Smokeypaw enthusiastically meowed.

"No problem. Now, could you give Shimmerfern these poppy seeds-she's been having trouble sleeping." Mudstrike asked,

"Okay." Smokeypaw agreed. Smokeypaw stood up and spotted Shimmerfern sharing tongues with Silvermoon.

"Shimmerfern!" Smokeypaw called. Shimmerfern looked over to see who called her name.

"These are for you." Smokeypaw gave the poppy seeds to Shimmerfern.

"Thanks, I've been needing them for the past few days." Shimmerfern explained.

"Smokeypaw, did you become the new medicine cat apprentice?" Silvermoon laughed.

"Nope, I'm still a warrior!" Smokeypaw corrected.

"I'll see you around Smokeypaw." Silvermoon said.

"Glad to hear it."

Smokeypaw grinned as she padded away towards the apprentice den. Ever since Sunflow and his littermates became warriors Smokeypaw was able to sleep warm in the apprentices den. With the approaching leaf-bare, Smokeypaw did not want to sleep outside. She curled up in her nest and put her tail over her nose.

Did you enjoy? Comment what you thought below! Snowleaf's story is similar to Mapleleaf's isn't it? Oh well. I had a little bit of writers block, but I guess that can't be helped. I was planning on making this story about 30 chapters, but it might be shorter. As this story progresses, you'll noticed that Smokeypaw's attitude changes as more things happen to her. Now you may be wondering, 'why are you doing this to poor Smokeypaw? She doesn't deserve this!' I'm sorry, but I must pile more things on top of her. Sorry.

Until then...
