And so we know and rely on the love of God for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

Prologue

The soft breeze murmured its way to my soul as the blood red sun descended on the horizon. I can't help but sigh. The serenity that is enveloping my soul took me to an all new level of nirvana. Blurry thoughts and memories came crashing to my weary mind. The days spent with him, the sleepless nights, the joyous laughter, and the dried tears. They're all just mere memories now, nothing but flashbacks and glimpses of what was then a beautiful past.

I sighed as the recent events hovered in my consciousness. I was starting to doubt my sanity when all those things happened. Not even a shrink could aid me with the situation that I am facing right now. How I wish that I could travel back in time and reverse the preordained circumstances that came at hand. I envy everyone who's ignorant with the fact that something-someone --existed amidst the boundlessexistential savvy in the human world. I envy them. They didn't have to suffer all the mind baffling truth that I had yet discovered.

One thing is clear to me though. He is not human. He is an angel; a fallen one.

It took me a lot of time, resolution, sanity and understanding to accept the fact that he is not like everyone else. No, he is not alone in existence. There are hundreds of them. I can attest to that. I know that you probably think I'm losing my internal marbles with all the crap-thing that I'm blurting to all of you.Heed what I may say, dear one, for what I am revealing to you now can, and will, change the course of your existence. Our existence.

These olden stories counted way back at the time even before the Emmanuel was born. All of these stories gave way to an all new knowledge to everyone who listens. I know I sound all psycho and craz,. but I was once like you. I doubted all the things that I discovered; until he told me his history.

Let me tell you the story. Heed, mortal. This is like no other.

Up from the heavens-where God was the sole ruler of everything, the only creator and giver of life-supernatural, wondrous, and despicable warriors served the Father. They are called "Pure Angels". They are the soldiers and armies of God; they fought battles with the devils and kept peace for all mankind. They served, praised, and worshiped God. That was the core of their existence. But imperfect as they are, the angels were tempted by lust and desire for the flesh of mortal women. A group of angels descended from the heavens and broke the oath that they took in the presence of God. They were damned for their unruly actions and were condemned to the surface of the earth.

On the lands of the Earth, the fallen ones wived mortal women and fathered a different creature way beyond our imaginations, the Nephilim. With the blood of both man and angel, they were labeled as half-human, half-angel. The Nephilim possessed strength far more greater than a mere mortal could possess. They were also called 'Giants'. Why so? I was not enlightened.

For a long time, the fallen angels walked together with humans as well as the creatures that they fathered-the Nephilims. The fallen angels taught mankind craftsmanship and basic knowledge in carpentry. Deep inside the core of the fallen ones, though, they were regretful for turning away from their pledged promise to God.

But one day, with the permission of the Creator, the Archangel Gabriel descended with a message for the fallen ones.

"You are to be forever condemned in this place and your duty as servants of God is diminished from all of you. But the Father has news for all of the offsprings of your offsprings-the Nephilims. They will be given a second chance for they are not part of this punishment. When a Nephilim reaches the age of 19, they will undergo a stage called 'The Turning'. In this stage, a Nephilim will be in the process of becoming a Watcher. The Watchers will possess the same power and abilities as the Pure Angels in the heavens but their appearance will be different. Their eyes will not be green but blue. Their hair will neither be grey nor white, but pitch black. And their wings- yes, they will still possess wings, but as a mark of the disobedience of their fathers, their wings will be black, only black. White wings symbolize purity. And all of this is nothing pure.

The Watchers will walk amongst the human race. They shall be forever bound to the person that they are assigned to guard. Only chosen people can have a Watcher; only those who are special. These humans have higher purposes than the other humans. The rest of the human race is guarded against demons and the like by the Pure Angels, but these pure ones will not be visible to the Watchers.

A Watcher should be as near as possible to the one whom he is tied to protect from evil. He or she must do anything, in the name of his duty, to protect the human he or she is guarding. As a reminder that the existence of the Nephilims was not given permission by God before it was delivered, a Nephilim-later on, a Watcher- will never earn his/her own life. The moment the human dies, the watcher dies as well.

A Watcher is not allowed to reveal his or her identity to any human unless given permission by the Committee of Guardians. Their palace will be situated in Mount Ararat. Every Watcher must report after 30 days to the Committee of Guardian's Palace in relation to his or her duty as well as the condition of the human that he or she is guarding. Only Watchers can see the palace at the peak of the mountain. Neither Nephilims nor humans nor demons can see it.

A Watcher can procreate with either a Nephilim or a Watcher only. This will continue the race of the Fallen Angels. It is forbidden for a Watcher or Nephilim to do any unnecessary act with a human. Any Watcher who shall break this will be damned and diminished from his or her holy duty.

Further messages will be sent after the great flood. Yes, there will be a great flood that will cause the destruction of the human race. The humans are sinful at this time and the Father will unleash His wrath amongst them. Be prepared. Three of you, fallens, must survive this great flood in order to continue the race of the Watchers."

With those final words, Gabriel spread his white wings empowered with an aura of confidence and knowledge. The Messenger, then, ascended with a beam of white light.

I let my head fall on my hands. It suddenly became difficult for me to breathe. The knowledge about the fallen ones turned my world upside-down.

You must be wondering how I knew all of this. Somebody told me. He is a Watcher. My Watcher. His name is Caleb. And he's not alone in this; there are hundreds of them-the Watchers and Nephilims.

The great flood in the time of Noah in the Old Testament of the Bible wiped out all beings in the face of the Earth except all those animals and of course, Noah's family who were salvaged from definite destruction. But the story didn't just end there, did it?

Three of the fallen survived. And for many millennia, the race of the fallen ones was preserved.
