Chapter 6: What A Day

5/4 (Wednesday)
Lois' POV

Yesterday to tomorrow had no classes. Today was a bit cloudy, and just in time I wanted the warmth coming from the sun and how its rays shined the world.

I made sure that I have my umbrella inside my bag in case of rain comes up.

"For today's news..."

I looked up to the huge screen attached on a tall building here in Shibuya. There were people who stopped and watched like I did. It showed the news about the train incident in the subway that the cause of it still hasn't found. And they also said about these psychotic breakdown incidents which made everything went crazy.

I unconsciously gripped the handle of the violin's case as I remembered the tragic moment I had experienced.

~Flashback~

It was Sunday, tenth of April. It was already evening when I looked at the time from my watch. I didn't realize it was this late and the sun today was hiding behind the clouds.

I was sitting on the right side of the train heading home from Akihabara. I went there to repair my phone. The repair shop I went to did everything they could and they suggested to buy a new. It wasn't broken or anything, it was only weird. They even said it maybe a new virus, but they still didn't know how to fix it.

I saw that my vision was shaking. I rubbed my eyelid and thought I am getting dizzy, but it was still shaking. That time I wasn't getting dizzy but the train shaking how fast its speed.

We heard the announcement that we were nearing to the next station and the train didn't stop, just increased the speed. I held onto the pole beside me, gripping it as if my life depended on it.

I watched all passengers panic and how they held onto the hooks above and maintained their balance and held those people they were with. Children were starting to weep as they hugged their mothers and fathers and I saw one of the elders did the sign of the cross.

Fear rained down on me and I hurriedly took out my phone to let my parents know. But we were jerked to the left side and the train started to derail along its lights shutting down.

Due to the sudden movement, We were flew to the left and my body met against the seat, hitting my head in progress which started to bleed. My body was starting to ache and I tried to sit up.

'Is this the end...?'

There was an impact and the last thing I remember was flying to the right side again and hit something before going unconscious.

It was a mystery how my phone ended up to be okay, but my body was put into coma after they rescued me from the train.

"Oof!"

"Hey! Don't just stand there!"

"I'm sorry!"

I was knocked down and apologized to the man in hurry and he gave me a glare before walking away. I sighed and noticed a gloved hand in front of me.

"Are you okay, miss? He shouldn't knock you down like that. He sees yet he didn't avoid and just run into you like that."

I took his offering hand and he helped me to stand. "Yes, than--oh!" I brushed the dirt from my skirt and when I looked to the man who helped me, he seemed familiar.
