Snapped

Lightning's POV

4:36AM

Shadow was pacing back in forth in his bedroom, his eyes were glowing red, and he was breathing deeply...

Shadow growled lowly and looked over at me, "Why the hell?!" He shouted, "My fucking clan is going to be destroyed in their sleep!"

I bit my lip and looked down, any other time before I would have been excited for my clan to rip apart the Southern clan....But now I was actually upset... I've met so many good people here... Not everyone needed to be killed.. A few yes, but this clan wasn't as bad as they seemed.

A guard rushed into Shadow's room, "S-sir," the guard stuttered, "t-the...c-clan is being a-attacked by the n-north!"

Shadow growled lowly again and looked over at me, walking over and grabbing my arm. "Prepare the guards, awake my father.. And we'll take care of it.." Shadow's low and deep voice demanded. The guard nodded at the orders he was given and quickly ran out of the room.

Shadow looked down at me and sighed, rubbing the side of my cheek, he yanked me out the door.

We were both still dressed in our clothing we wore from the ball and it was kinda hard to run in the big dress, so I was tripping and falling all over the place.

All of the sudden Shadow stopped as he came face to face with Alpha John, "Give me, Lightning.. So my freaking mate will stop trying to kill all of your men," He said and he looked very annoyed and tired.....

Shadow growled lowly and darted passed him and then ran outside with my hand in his.

Outside was a mess.. Northern guards everywhere... But why all this just for me? I mean they never did this with any of our other wolves..

I seen children running with their mothers, men trying to protect their families... And some didn't succeed...

Shadow growled loudly and darted towards a guard who was after a little boy, Shadow killed the guard in a instance.

12:46PM

The southern clan had lost... Almost everyone even Shadow was captured in the end..

I was sitting at the large meeting table with the guards from my clan.. They all stayed quiet and started at me until Alpha John walked in.

"Lightning," The alpha's voice boomed out, "You were never Shadow's mate were you?" I slowly shook my head 'no.'

The alpha sighed and nodded, "You are free to return home.. And thanks to you we finally captured one of our greatest enemies," He said softly, a little grin was placed on his lips.

I stood up and looked down, walking towards the door.

1:01PM

I walked past the door that lead to the dungeon, I heard crying, screaming, and loud growling. Shadow..

I looked towards the door a laid my hand on the knob, turning it as began to walk down a large flight of stairs.. It was dark, so I could barely seen anything, but it smelt of blood.. Ew.

The sounds were getting louder each step I took, then I finally reached the bottom.

I walked passed many cages with young and older wolves in them.. Even children... everyone stared at me with hate.. If looks could kill.. I would have been dead.

I walked to the end of the cages and there was another door... I peeked through the little window with bars.. Oh damn..

Shadow was in many, many chains, he was growing and groaning in pain as men were cutting him, whipping him... He wasn't healing like a normal alpha.. Why? He was covered in 'alpha chains,' chains that when wrapped around a alpha wolf, it would drain his or her powers, unless removed.

A guard grabbed Shadow's arm and and laid it straight out on the concrete floor, "Hehe," the man chuckled, "Let's remove it!" Shadow began to struggle, trying to get free... The guard pulled out his sword and rested it upon Shadows shoulder and began cutting slowly....

Blood began to ooze out onto the ground as the blade went deeper.. I began to hear the crunching of his bone.. Shadow closed his eyes, breathing hard. Then something snapped.. My eyes widened and something took over.. I pushed opened the door, breaking its lock. Then I shoved the guard who was cutting Shadow's arm off into the wall.

There I stood on my hands and knees, over Shadow, growling as I was being protective over my fairly new friend.

The guards started at me for a moment and began laughing, before I snapped back into reality, I was shoved away from Shadow as the man tried cutting his arm again. I jumped over towards Shadow, lying my body down over his back as I was freaking out. "P-please!" I begged, almost crying, "D-don't hurt him.. Don't hurt him.. Please.. I'll do anything!"

Shadow's eyes widened a bit as he looked back at me, blushing lightly. Lady Fang walked into the room, "What the fuck is going on in here?!" She shouted. The guards looked over at her and bowed, "J-just having a bit of fun.. With the prisoners.." The guard who was hurting Shadow stuttered.

I sat up on Shadow and smiled, "You dumb ass!" Lady Fang said, "Where the hell have you been?"

I rolled my eyes, "With this big baby," I replied as I pat Shadow on his head, and continued to sit on his back like he was a couch. Fang smiled and laughed a bit, "I know!" She shouted.. She was kinda of a loud mouth, who talked almost all the time.

The guards stood up and Fang looked at them, "Do you want your ass kicked?!" She shouted and the guards bowed down again.

Fang grabbed the key to the chains from a guard and threw it over to me, walking out of the room with the guards following her and they shut the door behind them.

I sighed as I got up off of Shadow, unlocking all of his chains, he sat up and stared at me. "T-thank you, Lightning.." Shadow said softly. I smiled and helped him stand up. Poor Shadow was covered in blood and cuts, I felt sorry for him and all I wanted to do is make him feel better..

7:00PM

Shadow laid on his bed.. Alpha John didn't know Lady Fang and I helped him return home.. If he did... He'd probably kill us.

Shadow growled as a nurse wolf wrapped a bandage around his almost removed arm, "It hurts!" He cried. "Oh, hush you big baby," The nurse said. I was a bit surprised that she talked to him like that.. But then again.. The servants probably knew him better than anyone else.
