A Trip to Town

Lightning's POV

4 weeks later

3:54PM

Shadow looked around his kitchen, trying to find something to snack on. I watched as he jumped from the fridge to the cabinets in the very large kitchen. "Yanks!" He shouted and a old looking and slightly chubby woman ran in the room. Her wolf ears perked up, "Yes, Master Shadow?" She asked

I leaned my back against the counter as my stomach growled and Shadow stared down at the short woman and crossed his arms. "We have no food.. Where the heck is it all?" He asked.

The woman looked around a scratched the back of her head, "Well.. Umm.. We kinda used it all the other day for your father's meeting.." The old woman replied.

Shadow sighed, "Well.. What's the quickest way to get food? Lightning and I are starving.."
The lady shrugged slightly, "Master, you'll have to wait until the food truck is drove into the portal.. Unless you want to go into the human world and get something to eat," She suggested.

A large smile made it's way across my face, "Yeah! That would be fun! Shadow, we can go out to eat!" I shouted. Shadow growled slightly, "I haven't been in the human world in twenty years.." He mumbled.

Lightning looked at him with a strange expression, "What about when you took me back to my home that one night?" I asked. "That wasn't me, I paid a guard to take you back," He replied.

"Well, anyways! It would be fun.. I wanna go out! Please! I get so bored sitting inside this castle all day...." I said

Shadow rolled his eyes and flipped his hair out of his face, "Alright.. But how do you hide ears and tails again? I forgot..." He finally gave in.

4:42PM

I pulled out a brownish cowboy hat and pulled it out of his closet, then sat it over his wolf ears. "Well.. The ear problem is taken care of.." I chuckled a bit, he looked like a big goof. Shadow smirked and walked back into the closet and came back out with a pair of blue jeans, a blue plaid shirt, and a pair of brown cowboy boot. "How to do I look?" He asked as he began to laugh at himself.

I shook my head and snapped my fingers, my tail and ears instantly vanished temporarily. "Have you ever had a dog?" I asked and pulled my thick and white hair up into a quick messy bun. Shadow raised a eyebrow and a confused expression came upon his face, and nodded slightly. "Did you have a leash for it?" I asked; Shadow pulled out a red leash from his closet.. It was one of those leashes that locked when dogs pulled.

"Turn into a wolf," I demanded, "I'll be a woman walking her dog.. And you'll be my dog."

Shadow's face turned red from annoyance, "What? I'm a freaking alpha! You be the dog!" He shouted. I laughed slightly and crossed my arms, "Hehe.. Come on please.. You would even know what to do with yourself.. I mean you don't know where anything is anymore.." I replied.

After several moments of arguing, I finally convinced Shadow to shift into a wolf. Shadow took off his hat and tossed it into the floor, than he pulled of his shirt and made my face turn bright red.. He knew I would blush.. He did purposely! Shadow turned his head back towards me and smirked, "What?" He asked and walked into the bathroom and walked back out in his large wolf form.

Shadow's wolf was very tall... Taller than a regular dog.. But thank God he knew how to control his sizes to make himself look like a regular black wolf.

I slipped the leash onto Shadow and he growled slightly as we both left the castle and to the closest portal.

4:55PM

Shadow and I strolled to town, many people stopped and run this head and called him 'cute.' Shadow didn't like the baby talk or the people rubbing his face all weirdly, so he tried his best to stay away from people.

I walked down the sidewalk and the sun beat down on my cheeks, "It's hot.." I mumbled and looked down at Shadow.

His ears perked up and began shifting, moving around quickly. "What's wrong?" I asked and looked around. I couldn't hear anything nearly as good as a alpha could and I also couldn't hear that great because I hid my wolf ears.

Shadow looked up at me, a worried expression on his face and then he darted down the street, dragging me behind him.

"Shadow!" I shouted and growled lightly as I tried my best to keep a hold of his leash. Shadow slowly stopped once we entered a dark ally way and looked up at me.

All of the sudden he shifted back into a human form and began laughing, "Y-your face!" He chucked, almost falling backwards as he pointed towards me.

I narrowed my eyes and growled, "Dummy! You scared the heck out of me!" I yelled and then my face became slightly red. I turned around quickly and covered my eyes, "Your naked!" I exclaimed and felt embarrassed as heck.

I heard him chuckle softly and he quickly shifted into a wolf and I turned around once more.

A brilliant idea popped into my head and a devilish smile grew across my face as I tugged on his leash. We both began walking down the sidewalk, there was a lady walking past us and I asked her a question.. Making sure Shadow couldn't hear me.

After I got the information I needed, I headed towards another part of town.. A part most dogs a cats dread to go too... The vet!

I pulled Shadow into the vet's office.. He didn't seem to under where he was at first.. He sniffed the air and looked around and it finally came to him..

I walked to the lady up from, "Hey.." I started, "Is there a way I can make a appointment soon? I need to get my dog fixed.." I looked down at Shadow and smirked, "He's been running off lately."

Shadow growled slightly and began whimpering and crying like a little puppy, trying to get away. And then it happened.. Shadow changed into his human form.

"ARE YOU INSANE?" He yelled and everyone looked over in our direction.. At me.. And the nude Shadow..

We both looked at each other and darted out of the office.. Though I was kidding and trying to get back at Shadow for acting like a idiot.. We both ended up embarrassed twice that day..

Finally.. Pshh.. Sorry about not updating for so long.. I keep going to my grandma's house and she has no wifi.. I also can't get any phone signal.. Ughh.. Well.. Enjoy this little chapter.. I just wanted Shadow and Lightning to hang out and go on a little mini adventure.
