Not Letting Go

Three weeks later

12:00AM

"Master Shadow! Master Shadow!" A young boy's voice called out in the hallway, outside Shadow's bedroom.

I groaned and flipped on my side as Shadow got up and walked towards the door and slowly opened it, "Yes, Rocky?" I heard Shadow say. "T-there is a vampire in the building! A man..he's already attacked a couple maids.. He said he was here for your mother.." The boy said.

I sat up quickly and looked over at Shadow, hanging his head out the doorway. "Get the servants and go hide in the dungeon.. I'll deal with it.." Shadow groaned and slowly shut the door as the boy ran down the hallway.

"What was that?" I asked, "A vampire is after my mother.. I gotta go deal with it.. You stay here.." Shadow replied. "No, I wanna come," I replied.

Shadow glared at me, "Lightning, no.." He said softly as he walked back out the door, shutting it behind him.

I groaned and laid back down, "Mm..nn.." I slowly closed my eyes, trying to go back to sleep.

12:24AM

A very loud scream echoed down down the hall, my body jumped right up and out of the bed.. I knew exactly who it was.. Lady Fang...God..

Why the hell was she here? I ran to the door and opened it up as fast I could, slipping and sliding in my socks on the polished floor.

I followed my best friend's scent down the hall until I finally found her, "What the hell have you gotten yourself into now?" I asked her, crossing my arms. Fang just looked over at me and narrowed her eyes, she was tied up to a chair in the middle of the dark hallway.

"Bitch!" Fang shouted, "I came here to save your ass!" I began laughing, "Well.. Uh, it looks like I'm gonna be the one to save you today," I replied.

Fang rolled her eyes as I approached her chair and started to untie her, "What happened anyway?" I asked. "My wonderful mate made a deal with a vampire to come and get you and kill Shadow and his father.. But you know what I did? I came all the way down here to warm you.. But the vampire tied me up and told me he'd bring me home when he was done.." Fang said with her usual sarcastic tone.

I rolled my eyes, "Ugh, let's just go.." I said and grabbed her arm and we both began running down the hall.

12:30AM

Fang and I were still running down the hallway when all the sudden we were both grabbed and picked up by the back of our shirts. "Hey! What the fuck!" Fang yelled as she kicked her legs through the air. I stayed silent as we both came face to face with a very tall and old vampire.

The vampire's skin was pale and he had wrinkles under his eyes and his large forehead. Large, red glowing dot like eyes stared at us and he had long grey hair.. Almost as long as Shadow's. The vampire's fangs were pointing out of his crooked smile and his body was very bony... Nothing attractive about this fella.

The vampire's eyes were on Fang first, "I thought I told you to stay put," His deep voice echoed through out the room. Fang growled, "Asshole! Put me down!" She shouted.

The old vampire began to chuckle, "Hehe.. If I hadn't had made a deal with your mate.. I'd eat your pretty self right now!" He said. Fang's eyes narrowed, "Bring it on bitch!" She yelled.

The vampire looked over at me and he stared at me for a moment as his eyes narrowed, "Little Light.." He growled, "Your supposed to bed DEAD!"

The vampire sat Fang down and leaned over towards my neck, pulling my shirt down part way. "Well.. If you won't die, I'll mark you as one of my many mates!" He shouted, laughing insanely.

My eyes widened as I began snapping and trying to shove him away, "Get off!" I yelled. Fang growled loudly and she shifted into her white wolf with brown paws. She ran towards the vampire and attacked his back, but she was thrown off into the wall and fell into the floor, unconscious.

The fangs of the old man came closer to my neck as I finally screamed, "SHADOW!"

Right at that moment the vampire was knocked down, I was too of course and I quickly got up and ran towards Fang.

I looked over at the vampire who was being pend down my by Shadow, "TOUCH HER AGAIN AND ILL WRIP YOUR THROAT OUT!" He shouted.. Oh Shadow was not happy.

The vampire looked up at Shadow and began laughing, "Oh my, you have my red eyes.." The old man said. Shadow jumped up and ran in front of Fang and I.. Shadow's eyes were glowing red too.. Like they were back when he invaded our territory..

"I thought I told you to stay in the room.." Shadow's voice was low... Very low..

I looked up at him, "I heard Fang scream.. I had to come get her.." I replied. Shadow growled and looked towards the vampire who slowly stood up; "You know Shadow.. I don't wanna hurt you.. But I could get a lot of good things if I do so.."

Shadow kneeled down beside Fang and picked her up and standing back up, "You get your ass outta here.. Before my father awakes... You don't want the same thing to happen like last time.. Do you?" Shadow asked. The vampire narrowed his eyes and mumbled something under his breathe, before vanishing in mid air.

1:42AM

Shadow, Fang, and I were all sitting in Shadow's bedroom.... When Fang finally woke up. "Did I win?" She asked as she sat up, still in her wolf form. "Yeah, sure," I replied as I tossed Fang, her clothes. "Go change in Shadow's closet, we don't need to see ya naked," I laughed.

Fang rolled her eyes, "No you get in the closet!" She yelled. After a few minutes of arguing, Shadow and I went in the closet and shirt the door, "Damn her.. She's a asshole sometimes.." I mumbled. Shadow rolled his eyes and sighed as he looked down at me, "Lightning.. You almost had to be the mother of a old man's babies.." He said softly.

Shadow's eyes were glowing blue and they were full of concern, "I'm sorry.." I whispered. Shadow growled lowly as he pulled me close to him, "Shadow?" I asked and he did not respond.

Shadow just held me in his arms... Not letting go..
