My name is Felix Alexander Norton-Grant, I know it's a mouthful but most everybody calls me Fang. I never noticed the acronym until I was in second grade and my buddy Danny pointed it out. I have three best friends, Alexander Andrew Williams, Wayne Jacob Daniels, Joshua Alec Henderson. I'll start with Wayne because I met him first.
We call him Danny because he hates his name. When he was nine his dad taught him along with the rest of his family Tai-Chi, to give the family a way to exercise together. This began Danny's love for martial arts. His dad enrolled him in the local karate gym, two years later he got his black belt. His dad then enrolled him in Judo, again he got a black belt rather quickly. At this point his dad hired an MMA coach, and Danny fell in love with it. Danny is usually just the guy in the back of the room listening to his ipod, but once you get to know him its getting him to shut up that's the trick.
Alex is a social chameleon, it doesn't matter who it is, Alex can befriend them if he wants to. He comes from a family of politicians, so that is understandable. His family is also kind of big, he's got three sisters and two brothers. Most of the time he's just goofing off or telling jokes, he's not a particularly serious person, but he's got a bit of a rough edge for anyone that messes with his friends.
Josh is a bit different, he's got the highest IQ in the whole school (including the teachers), and is our personal walking, talking encyclopedia. He has four sisters that are all older, the youngest being twenty one. His parents are some kind of scientists, but it's the kind of work they're not allowed to talk about. His siblings don't get along with him much because he's the only one who inherited the "genius" gene, he doesn't act like a know-it-all, but sometimes they would ask questions and he would just blurt out the answer causing his parents to applaud him. I guess they just think he's the favorite.
I guess this is the part where I tell you a bit about me, but to do that I need to tell you about my parents.
My dad's name is Sebastian Alexander Norton-Grant. His dad was a piece of crap drug junkie, and his mom is second in my heart only to my mom, however he did have a stroke of luck in the Dad department, his step dad taught him how to be himself no matter what anyone said. He also taught my dad a lot about cars. He was born in Georgia. He lived there until he was in second grade then went to Florida for two years then moved back until he graduated He then went to college in Georgia and majored in East Asian history, moved to Japan for three years to live in the culture he loved he also picked up kendo (Japanese broad sword fighting) during his stay along with being able to speak fluent Japanese. After that he moved back to the states and went to college in Kansas where he met my mother and found out what he wanted to do in life. His true calling was writing, not just books though, movies, video games, commercials, you name it and he has probably written something in that.
My mom's name is Alexandra Claire Norton-Grant though dad and the adults that come over on the occasional cookout or birthday party call her Allie. She was born in Russia, but only because her parents were in Berlin on a business trip when her mother whom I have never met, went into labor two weeks early. She grew up in Kansas with her Uncle Peter. She wanted to be a chef for a big restaurant, but gave up when she found her true calling in college, Psychology; it was there that she met my dad. Her dad was some kind of archeologist and her mother managed the stuff he found and made sure it went to museums. She has one brother older than her by three years that works for a big time contractor across town. She never saw much of her parents because they were always flying all over the world, which is why she hates it when both she and dad are away at the same time. Her dad died in a cave in in Egypt, she didn't even get to go to the funeral, because she had a final exam in college and she has never forgiven herself for not going. In college she picked up three things she kept until this day, number one was my Dad, number two was her master's in Psychology, and the third was fencing, an odd thing to pick up for sure, but she went to nationals and got third prize and after she graduated she refused to settle down in a town that didn't have a fencing gym.
I was born seventeen years ago in the town of Lostelle, Ohio. I've lived here my whole life. I'm the only child of my parents. I'm in the top of my classes, but I'm no Josh. To me life is pretty boring, so I burry my spare time either reading or playing video games. Who knew when my wish for something exciting to happen, happened and I would give most anything to make it go away and be part of some book. More on that later though for now on to the story.
