"I've got to go, Sabrina and I are going shopping. I really don't want to but I already promised." Scarlett says pulling out her phone. My phone goes off playing Tell Her You Love Her, by Echosmith, and my heart jumps into my throat. "Who is that?" Scarlett asks raising an eyebrow.
"That is for me to know." I say trying to avoid answering while I tap the button to cancel the call. "I've still got to get stuff ready around here, so you have fun with Sabrina, and I'll see you in the morning." I say standing and walking to my door.
"I still want to know who that was." She says as we make our way downstairs.
"It was Jessica Cooper, I was going to ask her to the thing on Saturday, but she's gone until next week." I lie smoothly as we get outside.
"Oh." Scarlett says turning to face me again. She lifts up on her toes and gives me a hug, right as the guys pull into the driveway.
"Fang, come on man don't do this to me again." Danny says dropping out of the still moving vehicle.
"Wayne, this has nothing to do with you." Scarlett says not looking at him.
"Fang, please tell me you're not dating her again?" Danny pleads.
"I'm not dating her again." I say looking at him.
"Thank you universe." Danny says throwing his hands over his head.
"If we want to talk about sisters, I can think of a few topics you wouldn't mind discussing with everyone." I say giving him a cold look.
"Not cool bro, that's two times today you've stiff armed me." Danny says returning my glare.
"I'm not stiff arming you, besides Saturday is more like a trial run, if it doesn't work out then we are done for good this time." I say quickly trying to get off the topic.
"Whatever, I'm going to my house to get some stuff, Alex and Josh are going to pick up a few essentials, do you want to go with them?" Danny asks as Sabrina pulls into my driveway and Scarlett jogs over to the car after giving me quick look. They pull away, and Danny relaxes a bit.
"I'm going to straighten up things around here, you guys go do what you've got to do." I say as my phone goes off again playing the same song.
"Who is that? I've never heard your phone play that one." Danny asks as Josh and Alex pull out of the driveway.
"Jessica." I say turning to walk inside, after he turns to go across the street.
As I close the door behind me I pull my phone to my ear and press the talk button.
"Fang, thanks for picking up. Sorry I just called, it must be kind of awkward after today." Sierra says.
"Not really, what's up?" I say placing my back to the door and sliding down it.
"I could use your help with something, do you think you could come over for a few minutes?" She asks quietly.
"Do you really think that's a good idea? I have no intention of hurting Josh that way. Plus to boot Scarlett and I are going to the thing on Saturday." I say miserably.
"You don't sound too excited about that, and the Josh thing is what I want to talk to you about."
"I should have asked you this morning, but he got to you first, I didn't even know you were single." I say looking at my feet.
"Can we talk about this in person you know I hate talking on the phone."
"Sure." I say getting up. "I'll be there in two minutes."
