"No!!" I scream shoving Alex to the side and ripping my medallion off, holding my sword in front of me.

The soldier pulls the trigger, and a blast of this see through stuff comes flying at me. It hits my sword and ricochets off hitting another of the soldiers trying to get up. My sword vibrates violently, and I drop it as my arm goes numb. I'm about four feet away when I jump at him, he pulls the trigger again, and I say a silent good-bye to Sierra.

I feel a small part of my brain as the blast comes hurtling at me. I press into it and I get struck by lightning. The lightning comes through the roof of the gym, and connects with my back. It wraps around me and blocks the blast. Most of it disappears, but there is a small amount left when I touch down right in front of the soldier. The lightning waits for me to tell it what to do, I don't know how I know this, but I know it as sure as I know the sky is blue.

I grab the soldier's face and push the lighting through my hand. There is a loud clap, and the soldier flies away from me screaming, and crashes into the bleachers twitching.

I turn to face Alex and my brain sears with pain. I crumple to the ground, already unconscious.

"Fang, Fang." Alex shouts shaking me making my head pound harder still.

"Not so loud, my head hurts." I say softly tasting blood.

"Sierra, he's ok." Alex calls a little softer. I hear several rapid foot falls, and Sierra's face hovers above me as well.

"Fang, are you ok?" Sierra asks looking me over. Her eyes go wide as she looks at my chest. "Fang your chest." Sierra gasps.

"Dude that's going to need stitches, and a lot of them. I see three broken fingers, and a lot of smaller cuts." Josh says somewhere off to my right.

"How bout you, are you ok?" I ask trying to sit up, my head whirls and I lay back.

"Yeah, it hurts, but nothing is broken."

"Come on we have to get out of here, they could send more of them." Sierra says pulling under my arm. Alex does the same and they pull me to my feet. Danny walks over to me, and claps me on the shoulder.

"Way to go Tazerman." He says with a big smile.

"Danny save the jokes, he's hurt, let's get him back to his place and clean ourselves up. We can butterfly that cut up on his chest, thankfully it's not bleeding that bad." Josh says moving Danny to the side.

As Danny moves out from in front of me, I see Mr. Scott walking towards us, and one of the soldiers getting up behind him. I lurch away from my friends and pour everything I have in to the sprint past Mr. Scott. I fly past him, as he gives me an alarmed look. I shoulder charge the one getting up, and he grabs me throwing me over himself. I hit the ground on my left side, and gasp as all the air leaves my lungs. He gets on top of me and starts choking me

Instead of trying to break his grasp, I reach under his arm and rip my medallion off quickly putting my hand just over his heart. As I expected the sword appears in my hand, and has him impaled. Pink blood gushes out of him covering my face, as he looks down and falls over. I roll to my left leaving my sword where it is.

"Mr. Grant, what is going on, who is that man? And why is he blue?"

"Fang you damn idiot, now you're bleeding." Josh says pulling me to my feet.

"What did you want me to do, just let him kill Mr. Scott." I say rolling my eyes. "Mr. Scott you wouldn't believe anything we told you, but that man would have killed you, we've got to go, I'm pretty banged up."

"It seems I owe you my life, go I will fabricate some story, I am positive that I will not be able to keep the truth hidden for long." Mr. Scott says looking at me like he'd just met me.
