I look around and realize that both the left and right walls are the same as before. The ceiling has disappeared, leaving the bright blue sky hanging above us. The floor has also changed, instead of it being the soft springy floor from my basement, it is flat ground, but more solid like a large flat rock. In the center of the room is a large pond, full of deep blue water.
"Ok the room is listening, I would like three playboy bunnies, a burger, and a large milkshake please." Alex says looking disappointed when nothing happens.
"Playboy bunnies huh?" Scarlett asks dangerously. She opens her eyes, and punches towards Alex. A small burst of fire jumps from her hand at Alex. Seeing the fire Alex turns his back to the flames, and they connect in the middle of his back, causing him to stagger forward as his shirt catches fire.
He runs towards the water wildly, yelling.
"Hot, hot, hot!!!"
We all start laughing at him, walking towards the water. As he reaches the edge he jumps in the sounds of his yelling shutting off only after his head had submerged. He resurfaces, and stares us down.
"You guys suck." He says giving Scarlett a hateful look.
"Did you really think they would let you get away with saying that?" I ask crossing my arms.
"Like you weren't thinking the same thing." He says giving me a glare.
"About the food maybe, but I've got all the girl I need right here." I say pulling Sierra to me.
"Aww, I might puke." Claire says punching my shoulder, as Sierra kisses my cheek. I stick out my tongue at her and look back to Alex.
He has his eyes closed, and isn't bobbing in the water like he should be. His face tightens in concentration, and the water rises underneath him. It lifts him to the edge of the pond, and sets him down sopping wet. He smiles at us, and says.
"I can breathe underwater."
"Great now we can't drown him." Josh says sarcastically, and Alex makes a mocking face, mumbling under his breath, before he crumples to the ground unconscious. We rush to him to stop his head from hitting the ground.
Claire holds his head in her lap, until he wakes up three minutes later. His hands shoot to his head, and he curls up holding his head. He stays this way for several minutes, while we all look at him. He turns over laying flat on his back, and looks at Claire.
"Nothing big, got to remember that." He says as Claire touches his face tenderly.
"Aww, I might puke." I chuckle, and Claire gives me an annoyed look. I shrug, and she turns back to Alex, who is trying to get up. She pulls him back down and says.
"Sit for a couple of minutes." Alex looks like he wants to protest, but doesn't.
After a couple of minutes he gets up, and stretches a couple of times.
"I really think we should, if we're going to practice with this, do small exercises. Danny you could lift a few small rocks and juggle them, until the headache starts. Scarlett you make fire and then manipulate it, Sierra you could make a slight breeze, or something. Claire you could freeze the top of the water, just not the whole thing. Miranda, maybe we can find some spare metal around here. Alex, you could make a sphere come out of the pond, and change it's shape. I'll probably just make the electricity stay at certain parts of my body, for as long as I can." I say thinking out loud. "It's you Josh that I don't think is going to have a easy thing to practice, I don't think changing the weather is going to be easy."
"Where do you get these ideas?" Claire asks looking at me crazily.
"When I was a kid I would think up possibilities for this kind of scenario, I always wanted super powers, and I had lots of ideas for getting better with them, of course books I've read, and shows I've watched have helped me with the ideas." I say shrugging and look at Josh who is looking up at the sky
