Christmas

I walked out of the exam room, all the information spinning around my head. My head hurts like crazy and I'm looking forward to spending Christmas here. The walls were decorated in silver ribbons, reefs, and missile toes. I smiled as I walked down the corridor to the Great Hall. This time of year really made me happy. It reminded me of happier times as a eight year old. We would sit around the fire drinking hot cocoa, laughing and having a great time. This was when dad and mom were passionately in love.

I smiled at the happy moments as I walked to my bunk. I pulled out my Christmas themed skirt and tights topped with my plain white buttoned shirt. I went shoeless downstairs because now they isn't anyone to judge me here. No one is here...well in a moment. The girls had already gotten their trunks and are saying their goodbyes to their friends down in the lobby. I hoped Ron or Harry would come and at least say goodbye to me before leaving me for the holidays. Not even Draco came. The students left the castle and  smile returned to my face. I skipped around the hallways and into the library. I took out my favorite book "Muggles on Mars", a fantasy novel written by my favorite author Jimmy Trinkets. Humming along to jingle bells I finally finish the last chapter and yawn. I squint my eyes to see. It's midnight. I wonder why no one came to take me out of the library yet. I stand and fall right back down, my legs were numb. I push myself up again and walk around holding onto the walls.

When I feel my legs again, I travel back to my room. I change into my pajamas and hop in the bed. A rare smile on my lips.

The sunshine beamed from behind my curtain, dancing on the floor. I stretched and push the blankets off and look out the window. It was snowing hard and by the looks of it, Hagrid must have planted some magic flowers. They stood out of the snow growing large and vivid in color. "It's Christmas!" I remember. I skip to the Gryffindor common room, the sun following me from the windows. Stepping inside the common room I gasp. The room is decorated to comfortable style and sort of like mom would hang up the reefs along the edges of the room. I go straight to the tree to find one single gift labeled, "Audrina". I sit on my knees and pull the bow off the tiny box. Pulling off the lid, I find a perfectly crafted new tie. A piece of paper lied on top of the tie that read:

Just cause. -Althea

I place the tie on the couch. What if this tie is for her revenge on me? My self conscience screamed.

"Good morning, Audrey." Snape's voice boomed. I jumped and stood up. "Hello."

He glances to my tie. "That's a nice tie. Too bad you're a girl." I smile.

"What are you doing here professor?"

"You need to practice using your power now. It will help with controlling it." Snape taps his foot on the floor and waves his hands for me to follow.

"You can do better. Go again."

Snape shouts across the room breathing heavily. We have been, well, I have been hurling chairs in at him for about tow hours. I'm really starting to get dizzy. I get a headache as I make another chair attatched to a desk fly his way. He blocks it with a spell I didn't catch. "That one wasn't hard...enough." He catches his breath and kneels on the floor. I walk to him and help him up. "You need rest, professor." He tries evening his breathing. I help him into a chair he hasn't broken yet. "No. Go again." A small smile is on my lips as I look straight into his eyes. "No professor."

He sighs and lays back in the chair. I sit on the floor and pick at my sleeves. It hurt, but it felt good. My arms were soar and burned from earlier when Snape had me cast spells without speaking. That was more tiring than throwing chairs.

"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be at home?" I ask him. He grunts and moves his black hair from his face. "I'm watching over you. No one will touch you if I'm here."

"You should be with your family, professor. I can take care of myself."

"Nonsense child. I will always be here," He sighs. "Well, not always. But when I'm gone you wont be alone I can promise you that." He stands. I stand up with him. He wobbles back and forth and then falls to his knees. "Professor!" I kneel beside him.

"I'm alright."

"No you're not. I'm going to get help. Don't die." He chuckles at my last statement as I run out of the ballroom. Breathing heavily, I reach the infirmary. "Madame Mooch!"

"No, it's Sarah Brinkman. I'm volunteering."

"Didn't need a back story, Sarah. I need help. Please come." I say irritated.

She mumbled few curse words under her breath and followed me. I showed her where Professor Snape. She takes her stethoscope from around her neck and places it on his chest. "He's got pneumonia. It's not fatal, fortunately. He'll be better in no time."

Author's Point Of View

Humming a made up melody, Victoria Black drew a picture on her parchment. This was not just any picture. It was a secret. A secret so dangerous, it will take the lives of many students at hogwarts. It will challenge the morale and faith of weak students. It will reveal a secret Audrey has never told anyone. Victoria finishes the picture. She places her quill on the desk and folds the picture sideways once it is dry. She hands the parchment to a hooded man, who chuckles. "Good work, Victoria."

Audrey's Point Of View

I finish writing letters for Hermione, Harry, and Ron. I place them on the sill of my window for Jared who has been out more lately, never here with me. It's alright though. I've received many letters from my cousin, Beatrice and aunt Carmin. They're worried about my well being. I think I should have gone to their house for Christmas break. I could've.
