Audrey's Secret

Pariah

Skipping though the hall, I spot a particular blonde making his way to  lunch. "Hey dork." I say smiling. He immediately turns his head behind him and smiles. He waits as I catch up. "Hey mudblood." I roll my eyes.

"I'm half blood."

"And you're also a geek."

"Because I'm amazing."

"If that's what helps you sleep at night, Riddle." He chuckles.

We reach the doors and he turns to me. "Don't let anyone bother you, OK?"

I nod smiling gratefully. He goes to open the doors and notices my necklace. "You still have it?"

"Have what?" I look down at my necklace and blush. "Oh, uh, yep."

He smiles mischievously as he opens the door. I wait a moment before going inside to sit at the table. I sit with George and Fred. These guys have been the friendliest to me, well, besides Draco and Snape. "Hey Audrey!" Fred shouts cheerfully. I smile and sit at the table. The plates were depressingly clean and not full of scrumptious food. I frown.

"Could I have your attention please." Headmaster Dumbledore's voice boomed through the Great Hall. Immediately everyone quieted down. He nodded his head towards Professor McGonagall. "There is great danger for Hogwarts."

He pauses. As everyone mumbles around me. Fred and George are messing with some poppers, not even paying attention. I guess I'll tell them later.

"There is an evil amoung us. A Pariah, " He pauses.

"is what we are dealing with."

"What's a Pariah?" A Hufflepuff girl asks him, her pony tail bouncing as she asks. "A Pariah is a soul eating demon who was once a human who had an outcast status. All students have a curfew of nine o'clock. If you are caught out in the corridor past curfew, punishment is inevitable." His voice boomed through the Great Hall. After a few moments, "Now, let's eat!"  One of Fred's popper's go off and everyone goes from utterly terrified to amused. The food appears on the silver trays and some pumpkin juice.

Fred, George, and I are skipping back to the common room for it is the glorious day. Friday! We have plans to stay up and finish our charms homework and then prank a new teacher who came in from Spain I think from a private school like Hogwarts. Fred says she's unbelievably scared of spiders. I can't wait!

"We're off to see the wizard! The wonderful wizard of Oz!" We sang, skipping in rhythm but horribly off tune. "C'mon blokes! We're going to be horribly off schedule if we are late to our meeting!" George says stepping ahead of us and leading us more hastily to the common room. We reach the common room. I sit on the couch with my potions book on my lap. George and Fred are beside me, trying to get me to hurry up.

"Guys, potions aren't as easy as you think."

Fred scoffs. "It's really easy," He sits up and messes with my hair. "The plan won't work unless we go right now!" I sigh, dramatically loud, shutting my book. George and Fred cheered.

"I'm not sure this is a good idea." I whisper to George. George just puts his fingers on his lips and points to Fred who was trying to get into the classroom.

"Got it!" Fred whispers opening the door slowly. George and I get up from our crouching positions from behind the ginormous plant. We go into the kitchen. "Audrey, hold this." Fred hands me a box that fits perfectly in my palm. "What is it?"

"Just the main ingredient to our plan." He smiles evilly. George and Fred decorate the kitchen with toilet paper and ribbons.

I gaze around the room for five minuets, slowly falling asleep.
