If Asriel Never Died

~Chapter 3~

 "Come on, Azzy! I want to tell you something!" Chara said as she grabbed Asriel's hand and ran out the door and around the corner.

"Uhh, okay. What is it Chara?"

"I have a plan to free all monsters!" Chara said excitedly.

"Really?" Asriel replied, in disbelief.

"Yeah, I do. But I need your help Azzy," Chara had formed a nickname for her now adoptive brother since she had moved in with him.

"I would be happy to free monsters!" Asriel exclaimed with joy.

"The only sad part is I am going to have to die for it.." Chara trailed off at the thought of having to die.

"Oh.." Asriel replied, also trailing off.

"Well are you sure about it Chara?" Asriel asked her.

"Yes, I am sure I want to do this, are you with me Azzy?"

"Yeah, of course, I am," Asriel responded, having faith in Chara that she could save monsters.

"Okay, so what is your plan exactly?" he said, actually curious about what they had to do.

"Uhm, well we are going to feed me buttercups since their poisonous, and then when I die, you absorb my soul and then cross the barrier and collect six human souls, then return to the Underground to break the barrier..."Chara said, pretty straightforward.

"Oh..." Asriel said, taking in everything Chara just explained.

"Well, when are we going to start the plan?" He asked

"Today?" Chara suggested

"Uh, okay," Once Asriel agreed he said, "I'll go get the flowers..."

It was an hour later and Asriel crept into his room where Chara was without Toriel noticing.

"I have the flowers, Chara," he said still being quiet, once he got into his room, and closed the door.

"Okay, good," Chara then said.

"Here, Chara," Asriel said while motioning for Chara to take the basket of flowers in his hands.

"Thanks, Azzy," She stuck a flower in her mouth, then another. "This is gonna be painful...." she muttered since she knew that buttercups cause a slow death.

~TIMESKIP FIVE DAYS~

 "Chara, can you hear me? we want you to wake up...." Toriel said sitting beside the bed Chara was laying in.

"Chara! You have to stay determined! You can't give up... You are the future of humans and monsters..." Asgore encouraged her that she was going to be okay.

"Psst... Chara.... Please..... wake up... I don't like this plan anymore... I... I... no.... I said I wouldn't doubt you..... Six right? we just have to get six.... And we'll do it together... right?" Asriel said.

"Yeah.... We'll be together forever, Asriel..." Chara said weakly, for death was close.

After three minutes, Chara's red soul rose from her body, telling them that her life was at an end. Just then, even after his parents noticed what he was going to do and told him 'no'... Asriel grabbed the soul, then there was a bright flash of light, indicating he had absorbed it. Asriel transformed into an incredible, powerful being.

 Chara and Asriel then noticed they had split control over the body, and Chara picked up her own body and carried it all the way through the underground, and finally to the barrier. The two then passed straight through the field of magic meant to trap the monsters in the underground.

Chara and Asriel, in their one body, then walked into the sunset, until they found a bed of golden flowers.

Then they heard sudden screams of terrified humans.

All of them thought Asriel had killed Chara because he was a heartless creature, even though both Asriel and Chara knew that was incorrect. Right before Chara was going to lay her body on the flowers, the two got attacked. Asriel knew he was not going to survive, so he convinced Chara, very quickly, to turn back before they both died. Asriel turned and ran as fast as he could away from the attacking humans. 

After twenty minutes of straight running, Asriel crossed back through the barrier, now safe from the humans.

He had only one HP left, but he survived. He stumbled back home, nearly dead, and explained everything that had happened to his mother, Toriel. She said she would make him some pie to restore his health and that he should sleep.

He then stumbled into his bedroom and got in bed, under the sheets and blanket, and drifted off to sleep.

When Asriel awoke, he felt much better and smelled a slice of butterscotch cinnamon pie. He gladly picked up the plate and pie and started eating, then watched his HP number slowly climb until it finally reached its max.

He and Chara then found that they could communicate through his mind using thoughts. He had a short conversation about what has been happening with her and then walked out to greet his mom who was currently reading a book about snails.

"Hi, mom! My HP is now at max," He said.

"That is great, my child!" Toriel then said.

"I will be right back, okay?" he said making sure she knew he was going to be leaving for a little bit.

"Okay, Asriel. Just be right back,"

"I will, mom!" He said, already walking down the hall to his room. When he returned to his room, he was then in child form, he had figured out that he had control over which one he wanted to be. 

"Hey, mom! I want to tell you something!" Asriel said.

"Yes? What is it, Asriel?" She said, curious.

"You know how I absorbed Chara's soul, right?" He said, making sure she was aware of the fact.

"Yes, I do, my child. What about it?" She asked.

"Well... It seems like me and Chara can still talk in my head!! I can still talk to Chara mom!" He said, bouncing up and down due to the excitement that he can still communicate with his best friend.

"That is great, Asriel!"

"Yay, I can still talk to Chara!" he said, mainly to himself.

"Well is it not also very good that you survived that human attack?"

A/N: yesss i finally have it out, the new chapter to 'If Asriel Never Died'! In this chapter, instead of dying to the human attack, he actually survives! and in this chapter i also got the most words i have ever gotten, 1050 words! yay! i am also glad to already have almost 20 readers! i didnt think this little made up thing i thought of would get many people's attention, but it did! at least, a couple, which i am still happy about! anyway i am going to be busy tomorrow to the next update is probably going to be in 2 days.
