" Ummm Keh what's suicide and why did you do it ?" Asked Kari.
" So Kari what's your favorite East mix?" I asked quickly jumping in.
" O I like the Mask off East Mix." She replied.
And just that quick she forgot about what she just asked. They asked Kehlani a few more questions before the interview was finally over. The whole time all I could think of was how disrespectful Charlemagne was for asking that question. Especially since a child was around.
Just as I was about to leave. Someone grabbed my arm. When I turned around it was Kehlani.
" Thanks back there for helping distract Kari when she asked what suicide was. That would have been a hard conversation to have with her." She said.
" It's really no problem Ma. That question was wild disrespectful an outa line." I said.
Kari ran over to us. " Dave to you wanna come to lunch with us?" She asked me.
" Kar he might be busy. " said Kehlani
I bent down to reach Kari's level. " I would love to come to lunch with you lil mama." I told her.
" Yay I can't wait." She replied. Then she grabbed my hand leading me into the black SUV.
At first it was a lil awkward. The three of us in the back seat.
" Mr T can you please play KD?" Asked Kari
That made me smile that she wanted to listen to my music while I was in the car. But then I remembered what I rapped about in that song.
" You let her listen to that kinda music? Isn't she like 8?" I asked Kehlani
" She's only allowed to listen to the clean versions." She replied.
After that the only noise in the car was Kari rapping along with the song.
