" Lastly David Brewster to the stand." Said the judge.
I almost felt bad for Kehlani. Key word Almost. Don't get attached to something if it wasn't really yours to begin with.
" So Mr. Brewster I long have you known about your daughter." Kehlani's lawyer asked.
" Well technically my ex girlfriend told me I had a daughter almost a year ago. But I didn't actually meet her until 7 months ago." I said.
" So you knew you had a daughter but you weren't interested in finding her?" He asked.
" It's not that I didn't wanna find her. It's just I didn't know how." I said.
" What makes you a better guardian then my client. Considering the fact you had one encounter with the child." He asked.
" That's the thing. I don't wanna be the better guardian. I wanna be the only guardian. I don't understand why someone who isn't blood related to my child has the right to fight for custody with me. Kari is my blood. I want her living with me. It's cool and all that Kehlani took care of her. But I want my child at home with me." I stated.
" Thank you Mr. Brewster you can get off the stand now." I said the judge.
