After taking sometime to deliberate and going through every single article to make sure that this decision was the right choice.
The Law in the State of New York states that if a child was adopted but a biological relative is still alive. The child by law has to live with that relative and since this is a full custody case.

I hopped out of my seat and thanked Allah . My prayers were answered and my baby was coming home with me . I looked over at Kehlani and she ran to hug Kari. Kari was crying. I slowly walked over to them.

" It's okay Kari. I will always love you no matter what. You have my number so you can call me anytime." I said to her.
" Hey Kari it's time to go." Dave said.
" Are you gonna come for her things." I asked. Even though I was hurting. I still wanted to be mature about things.
" Nah she don't need those raggedy stuff you got her. I'll just buy her new stuff." He said.
If I wasn't so emotional I would have popped off on him.
" Time to go Kari." He said once again .
Kari tightened her grip on me.
" Please Keh. I want you too. Please don't leave me." She screamed.
Dave scoped her up and started walking away.
" Keh please." She screamed some more.
" MOMMY PLEASE." Was the last thing she yelled.
In that moment I knew those screams would haunt me forever and I would never be the same.
