I get on the bus, walking to my usual spot towards the middle by Kimmy.

"Hey GIRLFRIEND!" Kimmy giggles as she scoots over making room for me.

"Hey yourself," I smirk.

"OMG!!!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE YOUR BIRTHDAY IS JUST A LITTLE OVER A MONTH AWAY?! ARE YOU GONNA HAVE A BIRTHDAY PARTY?!" Kimmy squealed in a high pitch voice.

I rolled my eyes and nodded my head yes. Immediately, she let out another high pitch squeak that made everyone on the bus either stare or glare at her. I couldn't help but laugh to myself and wonder why I was friends with this crazy girl.

"Am I invited?" inquired Jacklyn, the biggest gossip of Kimmy's followers.

"Yes. You, Kimmy, Liz, A.J. and Grace are invited. It will be the weekend of my birthday. I will pass the invitations out soon." I tell all the girls, wishing I only had to invite Kimmy and Grace.

Grace is my other best friend who is more like a sister to me. She's a sophomore this year and I'm a senior, but in reality we should both be juniors. We are both sixteen but I'm older by a couple days. I---

My thoughts were interrupted by A.J. asking me

"So what do you want for your birthday? I could get you some clothes from my mother's store. I'd love to get you some hip cool outfits like MINE."

I glanced down at what she was wearing today and shuddered. She was dressed fit for a night club, with her tight lace crop top over a hot pink bra and a pair of short shorts that were so short her butt was literally hanging out of them. Lastly, for shoes she had on tight black boots with a 6 inch heel. If this is what her mom sold at her store I am never EVER going there.

"Um. Thanks A.J. but-"

Kimmy clasps her hand over my mouth and the other girls instantly fall into a similar silence.

I look at her like she was crazy and try to pull her hand off my mouth, when I realize exactly what was going on.

A certain boy must have just gotten on the bus.

I looked up and sure enough Josh Jones had just gotten on the bus.

Josh is Grace's big brother and all the girls have a huge crush on him.

Big shocker but, Not me!

Let's just say I happen to have a secret, bad past with him that I don't want people to know about.

But the reason I do tell people is, that I have seen what a huge jerk and player he is. I also mention that I would never ever allow myself to be with a guy like that because hello, I have some morals to hold to!

All the girls I tell this to however, stare at me like I'm crazy. He is the star of every sport at our school and is the number 1 crush for essentially every single girl...and even some of the guys!

Josh is tall with fair blonde hair and big blue eyes and is built like an ox. Kimmy has a huge crush on him and is willing to do anything to date him. And as her friend, I'm determined not to let him anywhere near her.

"Hello Ladies." He says to each individual female that he passes as he makes his way to the back of the bus.

Then he gets to our row and does the very last thing that I expected. He looks me up and down, from head to toe, before whispering in a deep, husky voice,

"Hello Taylor. How are you today? Aren't you looking sexy like always."

He licks him lips and smirks seductively.

I just stare at him like he was a psycho, while He gave me his signature "sexy" smile, which in my opinion just looks like he is passing gas or is extremely constipated.

I roll my eyes and reply with a stern,

"I'm FINE, thank you."

I glare at him hoping he got the hint, which thankfully he did. He waves goodbye to the other girls and blows kisses as he saunters towards his seat in the back of the bus with the other athletic guys.

Grace gave me a sympathetic smile, apologizing with her eyes for her big brother. I shrug my shoulders letting her know it was ok and then I roll my eyes at her while mimicking Josh's "sexy" face.

She must of found me funny, because she busted up laughing as she sat down by her sophomore friends and classmates.

I smiled smugly to myself until I turn and saw Kimmy glaring at me. I guess she saw the face too and she didn't think it was funny...at all.

"Taylor, I know you don't like Josh that much, but I need you to treat him nice and respect him. He can't think that my best friend hates him or he'll never ask me out!" She whines pitifully, batting her eye lashes and sticking out her "boo-boo-lip".

I mumble a quick sorry to her and give her a tight hug. If only she could realize that he was a good for nothing player. If only I could tell her...everyone...the truth about him, but I couldn't. I love Grace too much.

The bus came to its final stop and the guy I am secretly crushing on got on and sat down. His name is Alexander, but I call him Alex even though I know it drives him crazy. He is a senior like me and is tall with blonde hair and big brown eyes. There is only one problem, he is Grace's boyfriend.

I know you are probably like what kind of best friend are you to like her boyfriend. I guess that makes me a lousiest one ever, but I can't help it, I've liked Alex since seventh grade. Sometimes I hope that when he goes away to college they'll break up, but I know he promised Grace that as soon as she graduates high school he will marry her. And there is one thing about Alex you should know, he never ever breaks a promise. EVER.

"Taylor! Are you even listening to me!!!" Kimmy yelled in my ear interrupting my day dreaming.

"Huh?" I mumbled.

"I said we are at school. Would you mind moving?" Kimmy snapped at me clearly irritated.

I didn't know how long the bus had been parked there while I had been thinking, but most of the kids were already off. I jumped up and moved towards the front as fast as I could. Kimmy may be one of my best friends, but when she is angry at you, you want to be as far away from her as possible.

Exiting the bus, I suddenly slipped on the bottom stair and found myself falling quickly towards the hard cement when a pair of strong and muscular arms caught me. I looked up to the face of a smiling Josh.

I thought to myself,

"ITS GONNA BE A LONG DAY."
