I screamed.

I cried.

I cursed.

I sobbed.

I lost it.

It took over an hour before the nurses could calm me down enough to get me to listen to a policemen and his report.

He was able to explain just what had happened to me from what they had pieced together through the different eye witnesses at the scene.

For all I could remember last, was getting in my mom's car to drive to the Jone's house. And well, apparently a lot had happened at that retched place. And more than just my virginity being forcefully taken away from me just weeks before.

From what the police were able to gather, this is what happened.

After my mom and I arrived there, I had hit my head really hard on the pavement trying to get out of the car.

(Sounds like something stupid, clumsy me would do)

While this was happening my Mom had stormed up to the front door and banged on it till Grace opened the door. My mom yelled at her, asking for Josh, but she told my mom she didn't think he was home.

Grace then saw me stumble, fall, and hit my head the second time, so she quickly pushed past my mother and came running to me.

She started whispering to me that everything was gonna be ok, when my Mom suddenly screamed because she saw Josh charging up the street with a gun in hand. My mom hurriedly called 9-1-1 before ducking behind a large flower pot to avoid being shot.

As he ran up the driveway, he could hear the sirens in the distant

(they had apparently been just down the street for another call when they were called, as well as heard a gun shot.)

Anyways when he heard the sirens he became desperate to shoot me. He yelled at Grace to move as he fired, but instead she flung herself over me taking the bullet and saving my life.

The police arrived just moments later and were able to arrest Josh and get me and Grace to the hospital for emergency treatment.

When they finished their emotionless, fact report, I asked the one question that had an answer I was dying to know yet terrified to hear,

"Is Grace alive?"
