Chapter 27

---The Next Day---

Ashley's P.O.V

I woke up at the same timing again, 5.26am, today. I didn't have nightmare today and i looked at Esther, who is sleeping peacefully. Looks like she don't have any nightmare today too.

Esther woke up at the same timing again, 6.25am. She saw me playing games on my bed as usual and sat down beside me as i shared my blanket with her so she won't feel extremely cold since the air-con blows the cool air onto my area every time. 

---10.20am---

While playing a game on my phone, i received a message from Emily and Esther saw the notification since she was watching me playing. I then quit the game since i happened to finish playing my game and opened the message while Esther read the message with me. 

Emily:'Wanna come to my house? I'm bored and it has been going to its master's place lately. Idk(I don't know) why it goes to its master's place so often nowadays. So, will you come to my house today? It is not here since it is at its master's place now. You could bring your sister along, if you want.'

That's what the message says. I looked at Esther and she just nod her head to tell me that she would come along. We then switched off the air-con and changed into our proper clothes. 

After informing our parents that we were going out, we arrived at Emily's house after fifteen minutes since we knew the way to her house. 

We knocked on her door but no answer yet. We knocked again but louder by a bit and we heard a chain being unlocked. The door then opens, revealing Emily but we saw her left hand has a deep scratch on it. We went inside and didn't get a chance to ask her what happened to her left hand. 

Once we sat down inside her room, i asked Emily about her left hand since Esther was looking at her phone to check for upcoming calls or messages. 

"What happened to your left hand, Emily?"I asked Emily with concern and curiosity.

She looks at the scratch, then back at me and says in a calm voice,"It's nothing. It's just a scratch. It may seem deep but it's nothing serious about it. Thanks for you concern.". 

Esther heard what she says and said in an irritated voice,"You should just tell us what happened to your left hand. Don't try to keep it to yourself. I know that you don't want your friends to worry about you but they will worry about you when you tell them this kind of answer. Didn't i tell you before? Always watch your surroundings and do not ever let your guard down.".

Emily then started to get annoyed by Esther and she says to Esther in an annoyed tone,"Did i say that you are my friend? I didn't, okay? If i have to choose who are my friend out of you two, i would rather choose Ashley and not you. Got it?". Both of them stared at each other like they are picking a fight with one another and i tried to stop and calm them down. Oh no... This is getting out of hand. They are not listening to me. Suddenly, my phone vibrated, Emily and Esther heard the vibration and looked at me. 

I avoid their stares and hurriedly unlocked my phone to find that i have just received a message from Edward. I then opened the message and i could feel the two of them peeking at the message from behind.

Edward:'Hey, Ashley. Wanna meet up? I have to tell you something. I didn't get to tell you the last time because you brought your sister along. So, wanna meet up tmr at the same place? The time will be up to you. I'm okay with anytime.' was what the message says. 

Again, Esther saw it and became angry just like that time when we met up with Edward at the school bus stop. Come to think of it, before he left, he did mention about something dangerous awaits me in the future and i didn't even know what does he meant by that. Esther suddenly snatched my phone angrily and texted Edward. I went to see what she texted while Emily did the same thing as me. I was hoping that Edward was not online but unfortunately, he's online... 

Esther:'What? Are you serious? There's no way my sister is going to meet up with you tmr and stop disturbing her. She's getting annoyed by you'

Edward:'What? Excuse me? Who the hell are you? Don't tell me you're her sister'

Esther:'So, what if i am her sister? What are you gonna do?'

Edward:'Oh, so it's you. Why do you have her phone?'

Esther:'Why? I cannot have her phone, is it?'

Edward:"What? I didnt say that. I'm just asking, cannot?

Esther:'Oh, so what do you want from my sister?'

Edward:'I just want to tell her something in person, cannot?'

Esther:'Excuse me? I didnt say cannot. What did you want to tell her?'

Edward:'It's none of your business. It's between me and her'

Esther:'Between you and her? Dont tell me you like her'

Edward:'Why would i like her for? Her sister is so mean to me'

Esther:'What? Excuse me? Are you insulting me?'

Edward:'Did i ever say that i insult you?'

Esther:'You just did. Could you just go offline? My sister looks extremely annoyed by you'

Edward:'Oh, really? Ashley is not that kind of person who gets annoyed just over a phone conversation'

Esther:'Please lah. Dont act like you know her so well'

Edward:'Could you just pass her phone back to her?'

Esther:'Why? I have the right to take her phone'

Edward:'No, you dont have the right. You're just her sister.'

Esther:'Whatever. You better watch out'

Edward:'I should say the same to you'

After Esther has seen the last message Edward sent, she gave me back my phone. Once i have my phone in my hands, Emily snatched it away from me with a fast speed of her movements. Esther and i looked at what she was doing with my phone.

She opens my chat app and viewed the chat i have with Amy. To her luck, Amy was online and both of them started chatting. I hope they wouldn't fight in the chat just like Esther and Edward. 

Emily:'Hi, this is Emily. Are you free now?'

Amy:'Hi, Emily. Yup, i'm sort of free now. Why?'

Emily:'Just wondering if you could come over to my house nw(now). Ashley and Esther are here nw. Wanna come join us?'

Amy:'But wouldn't i get in the way if i come?'

Emily:'No, of course you wouldn't. What makes you think like tat?'

Amy:'Idk. But how come you got Ashley's phone?'

Emily:'She lent me her phone for awhile. She kept on telling me and Esther that she misses you so much'

Amy:'Oh, really? Ok, then i come to your house now. Where do you live?'

Emily:'You go to the bus stop that you always take to sch, i'll be there'

Amy:'Ok, see ya'

Emily:'See ya'

After they have finished chatting, Emily passed me back my phone and then went to meet up with Amy.
