Chapter 34

After mum went inside her room, we accompanied Emily to her house and then left after she went inside her house. 

While we were on the way back home, Esther heavily left out a sigh and i asked her what's wrong. She says,"It's nothing. I'm just thinking about what mum says just now during the meeting". 

Oh ya, i almost forgot about what mum says just now. If i have not asked Esther, i would have totally forgotten about it. 

---Just Now---

  "Now, let's start the meeting between mother and their daughters and best friend."Mum said as Emily, Esther and i became serious. We nodded our heads to show that we're serious, dead serious. 

"Let's see, where shall i start? Shall i start from you, Ashley?"mum says as she turned her head towards me and made eye-contact with me. "Up to you, mum."was what i say to her and she turned her head back to the front. 

"Fine, let's start from the both of you, Ashley and Esther. What i am going to say is something that has already happened to you two in school so i am sure that you two are aware since you saw it more than one time."mum says as i tried to guess what mum meant by that.

"Do you remember who die in school? Moreover, they are from the same CCA as you two and they were killed when they were alone. Do you remember the names of those who died?"mum says and we three thought about it. 

I remembered Daisy and Travis only. Wait, only two people died? I thought more than two died! I looked at Esther as she looked at me with horrified and shocked face. It can't be... two people died! There should be more than two but who? Holy shit... I totally forgot who died other than Daisy and Travis. 

"It seems you can't remember. It's fine if you can't remember, i won't force you to remember. But, remember this especially you, Ashley. Don't go out so often if not, you will get hurt by him because Austin goes out often with his friends and his friends and him got beaten up by him. So, watch out. Ashley, i want you to remember this since you are good in fighting and you know, Esther is not good in fighting at all so protect her when you have to no matter what happens."mum says these and i nodded my head. 

Mum faced me and we made a pinky promise that i will protect Esther no matter what happens. 

---Now---

"I wonder who was mum referring to."Esther says and i just listened to her. Suddenly, Esther says she will be going out tomorrow and do not want me to come along. She thinks that i will be worried and would come along with her but she doesn't want me to come along and told me not to worry about her. 

Honestly speaking, i am worried about her even if she told me not to worry but still, as her sister, i have no choice but to feel worried for her.

The next day, i woke up, Esther was gone and i looked at the time. It shows,'10.20am'. So, i woke up at the same timing, huh. Then, what time did Esther wake up? Did she wake up at 6.25am? 

I took my phone from the bedside table and unlocked it. I texted someone and she was online which was lucky for me.

Me:'Hey, could you help me a favor?'

??:'Sure, what is it?'

Me:'It's about my sister, Esther. Could you help me look into where she is now?'

??:'Sure, but how? I need something like her phone number'

Me:'Okay, i'll give her phone number then help me with this'

??:'Okay, then i'll tell you once i have found where she is'

Me:'Thanks a lot'

??:'You're welcome as usual'

With that, i gave the person Esther's phone number as i went to tell mum that Esther went out. Mum was disappointed but i explained everything and she still looks disappointed. 

Emily went home, mum and dad doing their stuff in their own room with the door locked so i can't go in and i am all alone in the living room, watching anime without Esther by my side. 

After two hours of watching anime continuously, i stopped watching to rest my eyes and switched on the air-con inside my room to take a nap.

After i woke up, i looked at the time on my phone. It shows,"5.25pm" and i could hear something from outside the room. After i switched off the air-con and opened the door, i saw Esther sitting on the cushion in the living room, watching anime happily but there's something strange. 

I don't know if i see wrongly since i was a bit far from her but i saw her left eye got something like someone punched her and she saw me, staring at her. The next thing she do was to cover her left eye with her left hand while her right hand covered her right knee. 

I went to sit beside her to take a closer look at her and her knee but she doesn't let me see. Instead, she says calmly,"Stay away from Alvin. He's a danger to us, especially to you, Sis.". She continued watching anime without telling me whether she's hurt or not but deep down in my heart, i knew that she's hurt and trying to hide her feelings from me.

Before we went to sleep, i received a message from Emily but when i opened the message, the moment i saw it, i knew the one who sent this message was not Emily and it was someone else who sent it. Here's what the message says,

'Meet me at your house downstairs tmr at 5.26pm. Make sure you come or else u are in trouble'.

I looked beside me and saw Esther staring into it emotionless. I waved my hand in front of her to snap her out of it and in the end, it worked. She seems to be thinking of something but didn't tell me what she was thinking about. Maybe it's something she doesn't want to tell me.
