Chapter 33

Our dancing teacher, Miss Ling, nodded her head and told us to sit at the cushions or chairs so we could listen to what she wants to talk about with all of us here. Firstly, not to confuse Esther and i, she explained about what happened to Austin last year. 

After a long explanation, she then proceed to explain how did Austin escape from all this disaster and horrifying situations after the last day of the year had ended. For some reason, Emily have been holding my hand the moment Miss Ling talked about Austin until now and i was sitting between Esther and her while my parents sat on the next cushion right beside Esther and Emily's mum sat down on a chair that was beside the cushion we three were sitting down on. 

Then after Miss Ling have finished explaining, i found it impressive that Austin managed to figure it out all by himself without any help but what worries me the most was Emily was holding my hand more and more tight as Miss Ling continued her explanation until she has done all of the necessary explanations. I also saw Alvin getting tensed up for an unknown reason.

After Miss Ling has finished explaining, i saw Esther took note of the important stuff on her phone while Emily was still holding my hand tightly. 

"One thing to take note of is make sure you remember the events that happened to you or someone else even if you do not know that person."Miss Ling said and Esther typed it on her phone so she knows what to take note of. 

I took out my phone with my right hand since Emily was holding my left hand. After i unlocked it, i looked at the notifications to find if there's any messages from anyone but nope, there's no message from anyone. I was expecting Amy message me something, though since we were having our school holidays now, after all. Miss Ling told us that it was time to go back home and she doesn't want us to stay over at her house so we went back home. 

Before we set off, Emily wanted to stay overnight at my house with me and her mother allows her to since she kept on asking and asking until her mother gave in. Her mother went home alone while Emily took our father's car along with us. For some reason, i am always either sitting or standing in between Esther and Emily. It's like there's a big gap in between them and they need someone to cover the gap for them so no one would know how big the gap was.

Before we went to sleep, i received a message from Austin and i opened the message while Emily and Esther were talking about anime and J-Pop. 

Austin:'Hey, Ashley. I'm sure ya know about wat happened to me last year, rite?'

Me:'Yea, Miss Ling told us about it. Also, do you know who else is there besides me and my sister?'

Austin:'Of course i know who is there. I told Emily that she's gonna meet Ms Ling. Y would ya ask this question?'

Me:'So you dk(don't know) Kelvin, Melvin, and their younger bro, Alvin were there too?'

Austin:'No, i didnt know. I didnt tell them that they are gonna meet Ms Ling'

Me:'Then why they came?'

Austin:'Idk. Ask one of the bros'

Me:'Idh(I don't have) their phone no.'

Austin:'Ya should have theirs by now. I'll give you the oldest bro's phone no.'

Me:'Okay, thx'

Austin:'You're welcome'

After Austin sent me the oldest brother's phone number which was Melvin and i immediately asked him about. Luck for me, he was online. Probably chatting with his best friend, Ray who is also in the same class as us this year and last year. This is going to be my first time chatting with him since we don't talk a lot in chats and in person too. 

Me:'Hi, this is Ashley. I just wanna know how did you know that we are gonna meet Miss Ling today?'

Melvin:'Alvin was the one who told me and he forced me and Kel to come along, y?'

Me:'Alvin? How did he know?'

Melvin:'Uh... Im not sure about this. I think someone told him about it'

Me:'Rlly(Really)? Then, do you know who was the one told him?'

Melvin:'I did ask him about that but he just answered it's not important, y? Is it important to u? I can help u ask if it's important to u'

Me:'Nah, it's fine. Thx for telling me, anyway'

Melvin:'You're welcome'

After i put my phone away, Emily and Esther was staring at me with a 'Who were you chatting with just now?' face and i quickly divert their attention by talking about what they like the most.

---The Next Day---

The next day, all three of us woke up at the same time and the time was exactly 10.20am. For some reason, i feel like 10.20 is representing someone's birthday in our class but i'm not sure whose birthday. Esther also found it strange that the two of us are starting to wake up at this timing. Is it because 10.20 is somehow related to Emily? 

Esther and i exchanged looks but soon looked away the moment Emily sat up out of the blue.

I was about to go out when Esther stopped me and asked,"Where are you going? Do you want me to come along?". I then told her that Amy sent me a message saying that she wanna go out with me today and she let me go but she looks uneasy when i said bye to her. Why does she looks so uneasy today? 

After Amy and i went separate ways, i received a message from my mum and hurriedly opened the message. 

Mum:'I heard from Esther that you went out to hang out with Amy without telling me or dad. You better come back home now or else i'll lock you outside the house. I need to talk to you, Esther and your best friend, Emily later if you come back home, that is.'

I hurriedly walked back home as fast as i could. When i reached home, mum was sitting on the sofa in the living room, tapping her fingers on the table and beside her was Esther and Emily was sitting beside Esther. Esther seems awkward as she was sitting in between Emily and mum. 

Mum then told me to sit down beside her and i did what i was told to do. "Now, let's start the meeting between mother and their daughters and best friend."Mum said as Emily, Esther and i became serious. Esther and i knew that whenever mum says something like this, she would be dead serious and she expected us to be as serious as her.
