While jogging, my phone vibrated again and i gestured Esther to stop since she is behind me. I took out my phone and unlocked it. I saw a message from Emily's mother and i gestured Esther to come to where i am standing and so she did. I opened the message and showed it to Esther and myself.
"Emily wants me to tell you that meet her at the main gate at 3pm sharp. That's all. Bye!"We looked at the time and it was 2.55pm. We got 5 more minutes to get there. We decided to sprint to the main gate of our school.
When we arrived at the main gate, we were panting heavily and Emily was there, waiting patiently for us. After our breathing came back to normal, we went inside the school along with Emily.
First, we went to our classroom to look for Emily's journal but it was nowhere to be found. Then, we went to the hall to look for it but again, it was nowhere to be found. Lastly, we went to our CCA venue which is the Drama Room and again, it was nowhere to be found. We were panting heavily because we ran around the school to get to these three venues but it was nowhere to be found. I wonder how did Emily lost her journal in the first place? Wait. That's it!
"Hey, Emily. How did you lost your journal?"I asked Emily and she just stared at me blankly. Then, she suddenly yell and both Esther and i covered our ears. Both of us stared at Emily like she is an insane person. After yelling, Emily gestured us to follow her and so we did.
When Emily stopped running, we quickly stopped behind her and i realized that we are at the canteen. I wonder why we came to the canteen? Emily then started to search for her journal here at the canteen and we followed her by searching different areas of the canteen.
Out of a sudden, Emily came running to both Esther and i with a happy face. She then showed us a notebook with a 4-code password lock at the right side of the book. Seems like she has found her journal, huh. I took out my phone to see the time since i'm too lazy to find the digital clock here. It's already 4.25pm, huh.
"Hey, wanna go home? Our mum might be worrying about us."I said and Esther looked at the digital clock and saw the time. She nodded as Emily said that she is going home now since her mum might also be worrying about her. We walked to the main gate together and then, Esther and i waved goodbye to Emily as we slowly walked away from her.
---Time Skip---
Before we went to sleep, i received a message from Emily's mother and i unlocked my phone to view the message.
"Hi, Ashley. This is Emily's phone number. She have yours but she thinks that you and Esther do not have hers. You can chat with her and i can assure you that she will be happy that you chat with her! Anyway, thanks for finding her journal with her! Help me say thanks to your sister too! Bye!"
I do have Emily's phone number but Esther do not have her phone number since i did not give her the phone number. Esther saw me looking at my phone and walked up to me. I looked up to make eye-contact with her. 'Is something wrong?'She asked, concerned. I shook my head to show that nothing is wrong and she sat down beside me. Looks like she is curious, huh. I showed her the message and she took my phone to get the better view of it.
After she has finished reading, she gave me back my phone and i can't describe her expression. Her expression is so hard to read. She stood up and lied down on her bed. Seems like she is tired and sleepy. I switched off the lights and went to sleep. Oh my god! The air-conditioner is so cold and nice until i fall asleep very fast.
