Tonight is the night.

My heart is pumping my ribs really hard. I can feel my throat is dry. When I'm nervous, I always bite my fingers and that is my bad habit. But I can't help it. I'm going to perform in front of 500 people and it's frightening me.

I peek from the backstage, looking at people that starting to fill the empty chairs in the hall. My mom and dad are already here. I can see them sitting not far from the stage.

I breath as deep as possible, before turning around and find a boy with a tuxedo standing in front of me.

"Hey, Charlie," he greets me.

"Geez, you nearly killed me, Adam," I rub the middle of my chest, trying to make sure that the heart is still in there. In response, Adam smiles really wide, making him looks younger and more adorable. "Good luck for tonight." He says staring right into my eyes.

"You too." I simply answer. The past few days before the show, I didn't meet or got a chance to meet him. So I decided to stop thinking about him and slowly cleared him from my mind. And now, he shows up from nowhere.

"Charlie," he says as I walk away from him. "Would you like to go to Riverside Restaurant with me after the show ?" I actually heard what he was saying, but I'm just making sure that what I heard was right. "Pardon me ?"

Adam clears his throat. "Would you like to go to the Riverside Restaurant with me after the show ?"

"Yeah, sure." Without having a second thoughts, I agree to go to the restaurant with him. "Great, I'll see you around."

When the audiences start to stand and clap, I feel the weight on my shoulders are finally lifted

When the audiences start to stand and clap, I feel the weight on my shoulders are finally lifted. I've been performing since I was 5 or 6 years old and my favourite part is when I give my last bow to the audiences and walk back to the backstage. And that's what I do now.

All the dancers are cheering, congratulating each other, some of them even crying. Me ? I'm looking around the room to find Adam.

He is definitely not on my sight. So I decide to walk back to our dressing room. I'm going to change my ballet costumes and go meet my family.

My earlier clothes are still on the same place that I left earlier today. I change into it then checking myself in the mirror. I'm not going to clean the make up, I like my face like this. I look fierce. Then I untied my bun to let fall a dark chocolate hair to my neck and my back. After that, I walk myself outside the hall where I can meet my mom and dad.

From afar, I can see my mom and dad, chatting and laughing. "Mom, dad," I say running a little and giving each one of them a hug.

"What you did was amazing darling, I'm so proud of you!" Says my dad, kissing my head gently. My dad's hug is one of my favourite hug. It's warm and always calming me. It's magical.
