Ann
"Hey Mr. Marley. I have a question for you, if that's ok," I said to one of our hosts.
"Of course dear. What do you want to ask?" he questioned.
"Well, you know the boys on the other side of the resort. Well, do you know where they live and why they made a last minute reservation here?" I questioned.
"Well no Ann, I'm terribly sorry. You could ask them yourself if you want. I can't though, it not my place," he said kindly.
I nodded and went up to mine and Lily's room. Obviously she wasn't there. She said she wanted to go to the town and see if they did manicures and pedicures in Hawaii.
I just laughed at the thought. She was such a drama queen. 'Oh my nail is broken, oh my hair has split ends.' It was hilarious to watch her run around all worried about it.
My phone had charged over night. Thankfully I didn't forget my charger like my mom had. Ha ha. I unlocked it and started looking through my pictures.
When I got a quarter of the way down, I noticed that it was a picture of the boys. It was from when they first took my phone.
I clicked on it and noticed that in the picture, it looked like they didn't know what to do with it. It was like they had never seen a phone before. Weird.
Just then, there was a knock on my door. I opened it to see Mom standing there with a girl the looked to be in her early twenties.
"Ann, this is Evelyn. Apparently she's the older sister of one of the neighbors," my mom said, obviously delighted that there was a girl that I could possibly talk to. Besides Lily of course.
We just looked at each other. She had a smile on her face where as I had a skeptical look on mine.
"Alright well I'll leave you girls to it. Let me know if you need anything," Mom said excitedly.
"Mom it's not a play date ok," I said through laughs. Mom still thought I was a little kid. Her little girl.
"Ok so first things first Ann, do you know what you are?" Evelyn asked me.
"Wait wait. What? Do I know what I am? Yeah, a human duh. Who doesn't know that? Why are you asking me anyways?" I asked curiously.
"Dammit. Oh well, I'll let the boys tell you. It's probably better that way. Anyways, wanna go down to the pool. I here the water is really warm today. Perfect for swimming," she said, completely ignoring my questions.
"Um, yeah sure we can go. Do you know how to swim or do you need some floats?" I asked.
She had a completely baffled look on her face. I wasn't sure why so I had a confused expression on mine.
"Y-your concerned about me? Damn, never thought that would happen," she said mostly to herself.
"Never thought what would happen?" I questioned curiously.
She shook her head and started to go downstairs. I followed after her, wanting to know more, but she didn't stop.
I finally caught up to her and saw her standing on the pool deck, looking up at the sky.
"Um, what are you looking at? Are you cloud watching?" I was so confused. What was she even talking about earlier.
"Nothing it's just..." she trailed off. "There's so much you don't know, but that's for another time. I promise I'll tell you when the time is right, ok."
