Chapter 10

Voight's POV*

I called Erin & Jay in my office.

Me: someone explain whats up with Katie. Now.
Erin: we dont know.
Me: go to her place and check on her. She told me she didnt feel well. I want both of you to go.

They nodded their heads and walked out.

Erin POV*

Me and Jay drove in my car to Katie's apartment. We knocked but she never answered. I got out my gun in case something was happening and Jay did the same. He busted the locked door open and i went in. I saw the place was a wreck. Jay started walking to her bedroom. Thats when he yelled for me.

Jay: ERIN!

I ran in and saw Katie on the floor with a pill bottle in her hand.

Me: CALL VOIGHT AND 911 NOW!

I started crying holding Katie in my arms.

Me: dont leave me now. Dont you dare do it!!

About 10 minutes later an ambulance came and so did Voight and the unit. They took her out on a stretcher. I rode in the ambulance with her because i knew she needed me. When we got to the hospital they wouldnt let me stay with her.

An hour later the doctor came out.

Me: is she okay?
Doctor: she tried to overdose but you got there just in time. We're giving her some fluids and letting her rest. You can see her but please try not to wake her.

We all nodded and walked in. We all stayed silent.

Voight: i dont understand why.
Me: me neither. She had told me earlier she thought it was a mistake coming here. I dont know where she got that from
Antonio: i might have said something to her..
Voight: what did you say?
Antonio: i told her how she comes and our unit starts to get fucked up but im just upset about Gabby and i didnt mean it..
Jay: well now look at her! Shes in a hospital bed because of what you said
Antonio: hey im sorry man.
Jay: just leave. You apparently dont care about her like we do.

Antonio walked out. Voight stared at Jay carefully.

Voight: Erin you stay with Katie.

Just then Katie started to wake up.

Me: Katie?
Katie: Erin?

I hugged her in relief. I started crying because i was so afraid of losing her.

Jay: you alright?
Katie: why am i here?
Me: because you tried to overdose and me and Jay found you..
Katie: oh..
Voight: can i talk to Katie alone?

Me and Jay nodded and walked out.

Me: Voight doesnt know about you two right?
Jay: no i dont think so. How did you know?
Me: Im her sister. I know everything.
Jay: even her past?
Me: Jay if your trying to dig up shit about her dont even try.
Jay: im not. She just wont tell me anything
Me: she'll tell you when shes ready. It took her a year to finally trust me.

Voights POV*

Me: so why were you trying to kill yourself?
Katie: i wanted a way out.
Me: katie.. I dont want you in rehab again..
Katie: im sorry voight.. I felt unwanted by everyone.
Me: just because they make you feel unwanted doesnt mean you are. I want you.
Katie smiled: thanks..
Me: so get better and get back to work. We need you.

I walked out of the room and Erin&Jay were in the hall.

Me: give her space. After work come visit her. We need to get Gabby home. Once shes home and we lock up the bastards fucking with us. Things can go back to normal. Lets go.

They followed me out of the hospital.

Katie POV*

I cant believe i made this mistake.. Im right back where i was a year ago.. Erin doesnt know but ive done this before today. I tried to over dose last year.. I went to rehab for a weekend and i got better.. But i dont know... I just want things back to normal. I plan to find Gabby and whoever is messing with us. I hate being a target. I was one my entire life and now im putting a stop to it. For good.
