Caitlyn exits her father's car quickly, waving before running over to their bench. "Hey Cart!" She greets, scaring the poor boy doodling.

"Geez Cait!!" He yells, startled, she just laughs. He stands and hugs her before bestowing upon her a violet grace and sitting again to keep drawing.

She sits next to him. "Whatcha drawing?" She questions, he blushes turning to face his brown-eyed beauty, he jolts in surprise at how close she is. So he clearly did what any best friend would do in this obviously awkward situation. He kissed her. And she kissed him. They were Cart and Cait. Cait and Cart. They were them. And it was beautiful. And perfect.

Eighth grade flew by, filled with laughs, secret kisses, cries, jokes, love, and much more. But darkness was quickly approaching the unofficial couple, and it wasn't looking pretty. Because while they were busy being them, hurt was simmering, readying to boil over. Pain would soon deliver itself, in an ugly and hurtful form. While they thought they were ready to take on anything and everything, as long as they were together, the worst form of pain possible was preparing itself for its moment to shine. Or... not shine.
