24 and Roses

I sigh as I sit on the bench in front of my house. "Good evening my lovely Cat." Carr greets with a kiss and blush pink rose as he sits next to me. Right, mine and Carr's house. 

"Hey, Carr!" I greet, I haven't seen my boyfriend since last night. We had planned to look for store properties for Carr's business this morning, but there was an emergency at the studio. So, I got to spend the day with managers, sound guys, the band, assistants, and other recording artists. Every girl's dream, right? When I finally got home, Carr was at Li and Tommy's house getting set up for the party. 

"So baby, you ready?" Carr asks sweetly, I nod and we head to our best friends' house. Music blares as we turn onto the street Thianna's street -- yes that is what Carr and I call Lianna and Thomas, sue me. I grab Carr's hand as we head inside. 

The crowd seems smaller and not as drunk as previous years, making me more at ease. As I look around I notice that I know most everyone present. I wave at one of the girls I know from college, she waves back immediately before turning back to her boyfriend. Carter leads me to the dining room where Li and Tommy are seated in a circle with various other guests. 

"Supergirl! Romeo! You're here!!!" Li shouts, I giggle especially when Carr's face crumples. 

"I never will understand why she's a superhero and I'm a lame ass pansy who killed himself when he thought his love was dead, but she was really sleeping!" He protests, making Tommy, Li, and I laugh. 

"Because she's fantastic and juggles everything, you're the pansy that follows her like a puppy!" Tommy retorts slapping Carr's back harshly, I giggle. 

Carr raises his eyebrows at me, "You think this is funny, Bright Eyes?" I giggle again, making him practically prance towards me. I turn around and bolt towards Li, he grabs my waist making me shriek. 

"Put me down, Hercules!!" I screech, making him laugh uncontrollably. Soon, we're both on the ground in the circle, me in his lap and his arms wrapped around me tightly. I snuggle into his chest grinning wildly at Li and Tommy, who are grinning widely. "Hi, Tinkerbell! Hi, Charming!" I greet my other best friends, they and the others in the group laugh as I act like nothing just happened. 

"We're playing truth or dare," Li informs us, I giggle remembering how we used to play it in college and how crazy it would get once everyone was drunk. "So, Supergirl, T or D?" 

"Truth," I reply, wanting to start off easy since I know how hectic Li's dares can get.

"Out of all your ex-boy-toys, besides Romeo here, which would you marry?" Li asks wickedly, Carter scowls at her. 

I pretend to think, which makes Carr scowl even more. I grin kissing him lightly, "Carr," I respond, Li looks at e honestly confused.

"Cait, I said besides Cart," Li repeats, I nod. 

"I heard you, I said Carr, not Cart," I tell her cheekily. 

"Day-um! If she weren't a singing angel, she'd be a kick-ass lawyer!!" One of the guys, Carl I think, shouts. 

"Sorry Li," I apologize halfheartedly, "Charming, T or D?" I ask my best friend's husband. 

"Dare... I think..." Tommy says nervously, I giggle at his unusual freaked-out attitude.

"I dare you to walk next door, to Mr. Platt's, naked and knock on the door. When he opens it you have to act like you think he's your mommy. Follow him around got 3 minutes then decide he's a bad mommy and run back here sobbing." I tell him evilly, he laughs, knowing I've learned from Li. 

"Sorry, Supergirl. Nope. Not doing that. Mr. Platt scares the crap out of me!" Tommy says truthfully, I giggle. 

"Fine!!" I huff in fake defeat, "What was your first impression of me?"
