I Was Becoming A Little Claustrophobic

I hissed for the millionth time today, checking my hand for any damage as I bent over to pick up the prop.

"I'm never gonna get this," I sighed, looking between Alycia and Mercedes, defeated by the fake butterfly knife in my hand.

"Oh, come on, kiddo," Mercedes began, sending a supportive slap to my shoulder. "You got this."

"I think we should call it a day, ladies, good job." Our instructor clapped making me sigh.

It was the end of week two of training and this damn butterfly knife was the only thing I needed help with.

I've done exceptionally well on the whole combat and gun stuff, plus I know how to better control my accent, and my acting has gotten better as well. It's just this damn sad knife.

Ironically, the butterfly knife is one Penelope's main weapons, along with an axe.

A butterfly knife?

A BUTTERFLY KNIFE? Really?

How do you even survive with this little shit.

It's ridiculous! I have to learn how to throw it, along with the axe, but still, a butterfly knife?

"Hey, Y/n, check this out," One of the crew, a boy named Arron, jogged up to me excitedly.

I turned my body to face him fully, a small smile  spreading on my face.

Suddenly my smile fell and my eyes widened.
"What the hell is that?" I asked in terror.

In his hands was the most intimidating butterfly knife I'd ever seen.

"It's for Penelope," he exhaled, obviously excited about the deadly weapon that was glimmering in the sun.

"No way," I breathed out under my breath

"No way," I breathed out under my breath.

"Isn't it cool? It's gold!"

"Why's it so... big and curved that way." I trembled out, my wide eyes staying on the sharp weapon in front of us.

"Well you didn't think we were gonna shoot with something small and puny like that did you?" He chuckled and shook his head, gesturing to the training knife that was in my hand.

"Why not? It's safe." I pouted.

I was gonna slice someone's artery on accident I'm sure.

"Don't worry, you'll start training with this one next Monday, plus it isn't real, but the tip's a little pointy so be careful, okay?" He reassured softly.

"I will?" I asked slightly afraid of hurting anyone or myself again.

"Mmhm, you'll throw again and practice tricks, oh! I have something else." He quickly jogged away and back into the studio.
