New Era

Reflection is finally out and we are currently in London for the album release party. I'm surrounded by fans and friends and interviewers.

"What's your favorite song off the album go!" Speaking of interviews. "Lyric wise, probably Reflection but Body rock is going to be super fun to perform." I said since I was at the end.

British boys holy cow. I subtly tried to check out the interviewer. Tight grey baseball tee on that you could clearly see the outline of his abs in. Fit joggers, elite socks, and air Max's. I licked my lips and raised my eyebrow.

His face was structured very well. Defined jaw line, nice tan skin contrary to the weather of London, circular prescription glasses perched on his nose, pretty blue eyes. Good light brown hair, wavy and it fell over his forehead perfectly. Clean eyebrows which is so attractive.

He looked at me and smiled shyly. I smiled back.

The interview ended and we all spread out to do our rounds. "Hey y/n?" The interviewer said quickly before I could leave. "Yeah?" I asked as he gave the camera lady his mic.

"I don't think I've properly introduced myself, Mazen Mikaelson." He said then shook my hand. "Member of the original family I assume?" I said playfully. He chuckled "In the flesh" I smiled. "So what's up?"

"Well I saw you not so subtly checking me out-" I gasped cutting him off "I was not checking you out. That is very big headed of you." He gave me a challenging look and I shot one right back.

"How long are you here for?" He asked curiously. "Couple days then we're back to the states for more interviews and such." I answered simply.

"Well would you want to go on a date with me tomorrow afternoon? You don't have to and it doesn't have to be a date but I think you're really cute and your voice is amazing and I want to get to know you." I smiled at his nervousness. "Sure I'll go on a date with you" his eyebrows raised and smiled really cheesily.

"Really? You know what don't answer that you've already said yes. Can I see your phone?" I chuckled and handed him my phone and he handed me his.

I put my contact name as Y/n the cactus.

He gave me my phone and I gave him his. I looked down to see what he had typed in. "Mazen the mongoose!" I chuckled. He narrowed his eyes at me "Y/n the cactus!" He said and I laughed.

"Text me the details, Mr Mongoose!" I said and hugged him. "Will do, y/n the cactus!" He said then walked back to help a lady pack up some camera equipment.

"So you two seem to get along." I turn around and see Normani standing there with a smile. "Yeah he was really nice" I smile back.

"What's his name?" She asked. "Mazen" I said simply. She nodded "come on let's dance" I followed her to the dance floor.

"Who's Mazen the mongoose?" Lauren asked as she looked at my screen. "Lauren it isn't polite to look at other people's phone screen." I said.

"That's Y/n's boyfriend" Dinah said as she bounced her eyebrows up and down at us.

"Oh please. I'm Y/n's boyfriend" Camila said. "Oh please you don't even have the balls to ask her out on a date" Normani countered as she shoved Camilas shoulder playfully.

"Speaking of dates. I won't be here tomorrow afternoon." Everyones eyes shot to me. "We don't have any plans tomorrow?" Camila said with a goofy smile on her face.

"Mazen." I said simply. Her face fell "M-Mazen? You're going on a date with.. Mazen?" Her eyebrows raised and her lips parted. I nodded "yeah. He asked me like a normal person." The girls just stayed silent and watched our interaction.
