Chapter 22

Katie Beckmann

We just arrived in Hollywood. I guess he works here instead of L.A.?

I started to think about what I was thinking a little bit ago. Would he even ever let me be a model?.. I mean, I guess I'm pretty enough, and I did get my body back, after I had Sarah.

Maybe I should ask him.. Or I'll just wait till I get an opportunity for a contract.

"Are you okay babe?" His voice rang.

"Yes!" I gave a weak smile.

He smiled back, before turning to pick up Sarah.

I buckled Sarah in the back of the car, then got into the drivers seat.

I rolled the window down once I saw Thomas on the other side.

"I guess you're driving?" He smirked.

"Yup." I said.

He laughed and walked around to the other side of the car.

I started up the jeep, rolled down my window, and pulled out of the airport parking lot.

Thomas's meeting with his new boss is first. So I drop Sarah off at the house with the new nanny, and drive us to the studio.

"Hi, we're here to see Mr.Zwart." I said to the box Infront of the gates.

"Name please."

"Katie and Thomas Beckmann."

Right when I said that the gates opened.

"Studio 8."

Without saying thanks, I just drove down through the gates.

When I hopped out of the jeep, Thomas came to my side and grabbed my hand.

He opened the door that said 'Studio 8' and walked right in. I followed.

"You must be Thomas!" A voice came from behind.

I spun around to see a little bit older man, maybe about 50? He had light grey eyes, gray/white hair, he was about 6'3 , and wearing just regular blue jeans, and a black t-shirt that said,'Made in Hollywood.".

"Yes sir." He replied with his signature smile. "And this is my wife Katlynn."

"Well, it's nice to meet you Katlynn." He smiles. "A beautiful name for a beautiful young woman."

I couldn't help but blush, but Thomas's hand gripped tighter around my waist.

Apparently Harald noticed. He chuckled.

"Thinking I'd steal her away Tom?" He laughed.

"Taking no chances." Thomas joked.

It felt awkward and weird when they just started to talk about other things. So I decided to speak.

"Well, you guys have some work to do. I think I'm going to check out Hollywood."

They both looked at me with smiles.

"Okay, I'll see you at home honey!" He kissed me, before walking away.

"I love you!" He called back.

I love you too.. I didn't say it, I just smiled and waved.

As I was walking out the studio doors, a middle aged woman ran into me.

"Oh! I'm sorry!" I said to the woman.

She looked up to me and smiled. "It's okay sweetie."

I smiled and nodded.
