Everything Changes

Chapter 11

Katie Atwood

He pulled me into a dip and kissed me with so much passion. I will never forget that kiss.

We stood side by side, and the song 'waiting for superman' by daughtry came on. We saw that the whole crowd of guests were cheering and whistling for us, as we danced our way back down the isle.

He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back, and rested my head on his shoulder.

I'm married.. I'm finally married!

The wedding party got ready for our pictures. After we were done, we were led to the ballroom.

Everyone was already in there, and the wedding party table was filled except the two middle seats, which were reserved for us.

When they announced our names, we burst through the doors hand- in-hand and started to dance to the music that was put on.

Everyone made their speeches, and everyone was done with their dinners by the time Andrea and my mom were done with their speeches.

Finally, we got to cut the cake! And the coolest thing was, that it looked like a normal cake from a far, but it's actually an ice cream wedding cake! We picked it because that's the only cake I'll eat.

When we cut our piece of cake, I took some frosting and put it on his nose. He looked so cute! Haha

He then got me back, by pushing a handful of frosting in my face. Along with the freezing cold ice cream.

We wiped off our faces and he led me to the dance floor. Our first dance as husband and wife.

The song 'when you say nothing at all' came on and we started our first dance.

"Was today how you wanted it to be?" He asked, looking down at me.

"This day couldn't get any better. I'm so happy we finally got married." I smiled.

"I'm so glad you feel that way too." He returned the smile. "I love you katlynn."

"I love you too Thomas." I started to cry.

As the music came to an end, it was time for my dad to dance with me. I was so happy. That I'm closer to my parents then I've ever been, and I married Thomas. The only thing is Adam. He seems so mad inside, and that he didn't really want to come. But I'm glad he did come.

My dance with dad ended, and everyone joined on the dance floor.

I'd say that we all danced for about 3 hours? Haha yeah I know it's long. The reception doesn't end till midnight, so we have an hour left.

I decided to take a seat from all that dancing, and Andrea came and sat with me.

"Are you feelin okay?" She asked.

"Yes. I'm just taking a break from dancing. Haha." I laughed.

"Okay. Well, Adam wanted me to get you to dance with him on the dance floor." She smiled.

"No. Do you not remember when I danced with him at homecoming?!! I almost died in those six months that I was in a coma! I'm not risking it." I frowned.

"Katie, that was senior year. You're what, 22 now? Thomas hasn't laid a finger on you since then. And he will never lay a finger on you again. Because who knows what will happen? Kat, just dance one dance with him." She pleaded.

"Fine." I sighed.

So I got up and found Adam underneath the disco ball. I didn't say anything to him, and he had a shocked look on his face.

"What are you looking at?" I chirped.

"Why aren't you talking to me?" he asked.

I just danced with him in silence.

When the song was over, I unhooked my hands quickly, and went to go find Thomas.

"Katie wait!" I heard Adam call out.

I kept walking till I found him. I didn't care if he was talking to guests, I just wanted to hug him.

So I started to open up my arms, and he did the same. He picked me up and spun me around.

"Hey!" He said between kisses.

"Hi!" I smiled.

We said our "Thank you, and have a safe trip home!" to the guests that we were talking to, and walked to the middle of the dance floor.

As we were dancing our last dance for the night,I looked around the room. All those wedding presents, and the cake we get to take home! Haha, yum!

The song ended, and all the guests were shuffling to get back to their table and grab their things and run to get in line to say congratulations, and everything.

By the time we said goodbye and thank you to all the guests it was 12:30am.

Mom and dad helped Thomas load everything in the back of the car, and I hopped into the front seat.

They're staying with us for a week, because they have a business trip here anyways, and they want to spend a little bit more time with us. So I was happy they didn't have to leave.

On the way back to our house, dad was talking about things I did when I was little, and mom was crying her heart out. Thomas couldn't help but smile when he heard stories about me when I was little.

We reached our house about 10 minutes later, and dad and Thomas emptied the back of the car, while mom helped me take my dress off.

I put my dress in the zip up bag, and went into our soon to be daughter's room and placed it in her closet.

I sad down on the bed that she would get to use when she's 10, and just smiled at the thought of having a girl.

I heard the boys come in with the last of the stuff, so I decided to join them in the kitchen.

"Thanks mom and dad. I love you guys." I smiled as I took a bit of frosting off the cake that sat in front of me.

"You're welcome sweetie. We love you too." They both said, smiling.

"I'm so tired." I said a yawn.

"I'll take you to bed." Thomas smiled.

And doing what he said, he picked me up and cradled me in his arms, and took my to our room. He laid me down on the bed, and kissed me goodnight.

"I'm going to talk to you're parents a bit more, then I'll come back to bed with you. I love you katlynn!" He whispered to me.

"Okay, I'll be waiting. I love you too thomas!" I smiled.

But as soon as he shut the door, I went to sleep instantly. I was so tired, that even I couldn't wait for him to get back in here so I could fall asleep in his arms. But even tho I felt alone sleeping in the king sized bed by myself, I knew he was coming back. And that thought made me feel safe, and made me smile.

I love writing this book! I'm sorry I took a little long break and not updating! I just didn't have the time then. I just got done with some of my sports, and testing.
