*Dream*
"Thomas, you were supposed to turn left onto the 223 exit." I Said calmly.
"Well its kind of dark. I can't see Kate." He said.
"Well, go back."
"No. I'll find another way." He said sternly.
I rolled my eyes and looked through the windshield.
It was dark. Because it was 3 o'clock in the morning.
"What's that?" I said worriedly.
There were headlights zooming towards us. They were in the wrong lane, heading toward us.
"Thomas!!!!!" I screamed
That was the last thing that was said.
The two cars collided with each other.
**End of dream **
Suddenly I woke up.
Oh thank god. It was just a dream.
"Are you okay?" Thomas asked.
"Yes.. Bad dream I guess. Are we almost there?" I sighed.
"Yep." He said.
He was right. The sun was about to come up, and we were in the parking lot of Mercy Hospital.
I quickly unbuckle my seatbelt and grab Sarah out of the car.
Thomas was going to park the car in the parking garage while we ran to find Adam and dad.
I rushed through the doors.
"Excuse me, ma'am?" I asked the lady at the front desk.
"Good morning." She smiled. "What do you need?"
"I need to know where Cynthia Atwood is, and how she's doing! I'm her daughter, Kate." I answer
"Floor 3, room #276. I don't know how she's doing, but a doctor is probably with her right now."
"thank you. " I said before rushing to the elevators.
I let Sarah press 3.
When We got to level 3, I grabbed Sarah, lifted her up, and ran to find room #276.
273....274.....275.... 276!!
I opened the door, and there stood Adam, my dad, and my mom laying in the hospital bed.. Not moving.
I see tears roll down dads cheeks.
"I'm not too late... I can't be." I yelled.
I put Sarah down and ran to the side of the bed.
I grabbed my moms hand in mine and looked at her limp body.
Tears started to roll down my cheeks. The monitor thingy that was on the table next to us started to beep again..
I looked up. "Mom.. You're not dead.. Please don't be."
Sarah walked slowly up to me.
"Mommy... She's not gone.. Is she?...". My 7 year old daughter asked me.
I looked at her. She had tear stained cheeks.
Her eyes were still red, and her face was pale.
She was like this because she was close to Cynthia.
Not as close as she was to my dad, but she was atleast some sort of close to Cynthia.
"I don't know." And with that, I got up and walked out of the room.
