you said i could
write my name on
your lips, and stain
your skin with my touch
and my kiss, as moonlight
soaks our bodies in silver until
the sunlight drenches us gold.making your bones rattle
with each heavy breath,
as you try to forget the
words you engraved into
that other girl's brain, with your thoughts and energy
still pumping through her veins,
painting her hair with the smoke
that tore from your lungs
and shook through your body.but it's much harder to
forget someone when your
words are tangled in their
heart, and the sound of
their name is still ringing
in their ears.i try to pretend like i
don't hear your name in
the rain, or in the rustling
of leaves or the blowing
of the wind as it cuts
through each breath.but you see,
it's much harder to
forget someone when i
wrote my name in their heart
and i still dance through their blood.it's much harder
when all i can see is the
blur of faces and splashes
of colour drowned in
the downpour of the rain,
Heaven's way of saying that
this world is too dry.you're still the only one
i see clearly.- even though i wasn't your forever you will always be mine.
