you always say that you feel like the world views you as a complete void filled with grey

that you don't deserve the praise
or the compliments

or the whole world brewing in your hands

what you have to learn is that you're an assortment of colour

read the books on the rainbow,

the ones that speak of the blue of your open eyes

the red of your kind and caring heart

the yellow of your happiness and positivity

the green of how much you care for the world and others

the pink for the love you spread

the black for the skills you hold, and what you are capable of

let the words drive into your mind.

and repeat them

over

and

over

again

until they have completely sunken in

let yourself know

that you are an entire palette filled with colour

just like the rainbow.
