Chapter 7: Shadowkissed

After lunch my friends and I went on to our classes, before I knew it the day was over .
" hey put your longboard in the back we gotta get going to the library " Alex said walking to me with a look of happiness in her eyes
" Oh no, I know that face what did you do ? " I asked worried she did something mischievous and stupid
" nothing " she said like a child lying to her mother, then after that she giggled
" come on let's go " Jess said walking by us with Phoebe and Nikki . We followed them into the parking lot and jumped in the car. We went to the library next to a coffee shop, Coffee Bean, and next to a movie theater, Monets. We stepped inside of the huge library to be greeted by a old lady in the front desk.
" hello there girls, what will you be needing today ? " The old woman said kindly
" um we are checking out history of um-- " Phoebe paused noticing how weird we would sound
" what dear? " the lady said hurrying us up
" demon and witchcraft history " Jess said boldly after a couple of minutes. The look on the old woman's face changed and she looked like she was going to have a heart attack which worried us,
" on the third level , section 9 " the old lady said pointing to the location obviously weirded out
" great thanks, Um it's for a school project " I said covering up the mess
" ok dear " she said with a smile , believing me. We made our way up the stairs to level 3, this library was huge. We split up into groups trying to find books about witchcraft, pentograms, and the anchronubis. We were searching for what seemed hours until Phoebe excitedly squealed making a scene, we got shhhhed by many people.
" omg I found something " Phoebe whispered squealed. She held up a tiny, dusty, weird looking book, called Devils, Demons, and Witchcraft

Before we could open the book we were startled by an unexpected visitor. Ms Windell. Except she looked worn down, with dark circles under her eyes, and she looked more fragile,
" oh Ms Windell, are you ok? " Jess asked looking at her appearance because she doesn't look like the upbeat Ms Windell anymore.
" shh child, you are in grave danger. You need to dig far back deeper if you are up against the anchronubis. That is serious black magic, which I have on my side as well " - she coughed harshly then continued " no time to explain no time to explain " from there she whipped around and ran out of the library
" WAIT MS WINDELL WHAT WERE YOU TALKING ABOUT " Nikki screamed and cupped her mouth to make it kind of louder like a megaphone.
" shhhhhhh" a few people passing by said
We were most of all shocked and and confused at what she said. My eyes darted everywhere to see if I could just get a glimpse of where she went then they went upon a huge old book on the floor. It looked rusty and ancient.
