Chapter 12: The End of Halloween Horrors

It was around 2 pm. We had past the disappearing date, luckily, and now the final day. The day we rid this world of the anchronubis once and for all. The day whether we lived or died, whether we freed all of the poor innocent souls. This was Halloween Horrors.
I would've kept thinking thoughts and letting them roam free in my head when a text tone alerted me and woke me up to reality. It was Derek, texting me good morning giving the butterflies again.

I was gonna text my mom that I was okay when I felt a breath on my neck. It startled me so I flung my arms around and accidentally punched Jess in the nose.
" omg I'm so so so sorry, it was a reflex " I said shocked not knowing what to do
" it's fine , it hurts but it's fine. At least it's not broken " Jess said trying to hide the fact that it hurt, but yes at least it wasn't broken. We were all a little nervous and skittish, I mean who wouldn't be. After a while of Phoebe, Nikki , Jess, Alex, and I not really talking just looking kind of pale. Rita walked in with breakfast, delicious omelets and toast. The aroma in the air snapped us out of it.
" now I can see that you girls are nervous, but if you shall succeed you need to relax. He smells fear, feeds off of it" Rita said putting her hand on Nikki's shoulder, i could see it relaxed her a bit. I took a deep breath and exhaled. We all relaxed and it was silent for a moment. Then Phoebe started devouring her breakfast which woke us up from our thoughts. We started to eat and drink the OJ. After we finished we got dressed for the day, which were our costumes.

Grace and Rita helped us out and they tied the remnants of Eliza's hanging rope around our  necks and we practiced for a couple of hours, then Grace and Rita did a spell so we could ride on some rusty rooms and fly around the shop, since it was closed of course. It was six pm now, an hour before Derek picked us up.
" we gotta go to your house " Jess reminded us
" Yes dear. You must go, you know what to do, do not I repeat do not, show any fear. Be brave, you guys are saviors. You have minimum protection with Eliza's rope" Rita said giving us more comfort and confidence.
" Thank you Rita " we said.
" I wish you luck " Grace said giving us a tight hug. We said our goodbyes and went to the car to go to my house. It was mostly a silent ride for 15 minutes until Jess cleared her throat and said,
" I love you guys so damn much "
" we love you too " we said
" I'm scared guys, I'm so freaking afraid " Nikki said fidgeting her fingers.
" Yeah, we are too " Alex said stopping at a stop light and breathing deep.
" Come on, we are saviors " Phoebe said trying to pep us up, it worked a bit
" Wanna here a joke ?" I asked trying to think of one to cheer them up
" shoot " Nikki said
" why was 6 afraid of 7 " I asked
" I dunno " Jess said confused
" because 7 EIGHT 9. Ya get it eight, ate. " I said chuckling
" your so dumb " Phoebe said giggling. Which made Alex, Jess, and Nikki giggle as well.
" At least I'm not the one who thought Chanukah was Hansolo and Chewbacca's baby" I said laughing
" Not fair, you believed me until you asked your mom " She said crossing her arms and giggling.
" We were 7 " Jess said laughing hard making Nikki and Alex laugh. We all started laughing until we calmed down from our stomach pain from laughing so much. We arrived home and went inside. My mom was on the couch in the living room watching the news with a cup of coffee in her right hand and Poptarts at her feet. She turned her head and turned down the volume since it was a Toyota commercial.
" Oh you girls look lovely, too sexy for my liking but " my mom said getting cut off by me saying
" we are sexy witches. Thank you"
" mhmm, when I was your age I was a care bear" my mom said giving me a look
" lies I saw photos, an angel with a mini skirt " I said giggling knowing I had won that mini argument
" Your good honey, you should be a lawyer " my mom said jokingly applauding
" I rest my case " I said giggling " we are going up to my room, love you " I said running up the stairs. We later down on my bed and put the bottle, crucifixes, chalk, and athamae in my satchel. We watched a couple of episodes of 13 Reasons Why, Criminal Minds, and Scream. We were watching and almost saw who the killer actually was in Scream when the doorbell rang. My mom opened the door and my heart jumped in my throat, and a zoo of butterflies broke out again. We all looked at each other excited and afraid
" we know the plan. We are in this together. There's no backing out " I said putting my hand in the middle of us, which got toppled by the rest of the groups hands. We backed out of my room and I put the letters we wrote to family on my made bed. I hugged Poptarts tightly practically suffocating her. I breathed in the fresh air of my house, I couldn't help but to think I wasn't going to make it. We made our way down the stairs and Derek was greeted by my mother, who took in place of the dad who was asking a lot of questions, embarrassing me. We ran down the stairs and I put my hand on her shoulder calming her down,
" mom, chill " I said whispering through my teeth. He was a werewolf , as was his group of friends. He was shirtless and had ripped jeans, showing his perfectly worked out muscles and abs making my legs jiggly and my heart bounce miles. His expression changed when he saw us and he looked in awe, I think I was blushing a little too much. My mom gave me pepper spray, like that was going to work. She hugged us tightly and whispered to me
" promise me you'll come back and be safe "
" I promise " I said trying to hold back tears. She let me go and we said our goodbyes.
" it was a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Santiago " Derek said shaking my moms hand. We walked out the door and he stammered to me
" you look, um, beautiful " making me almost make out with face right there but I calmed myself down, stop being so horny I thought.
" as do you " I said not thinking " I mean um, handsome " I said giggling awkward , nice going Gina. He laughed and blushed. I didn't notice what the vehicle was when I bumped into it. A white limo
" Holy shit, no freaking way " Nikki said astounded
" Cool , do they have those warm peanuts things " Jess said utterly embarrassing making everyone laugh. We jumped in and they had two rows of silky red velvet seats. I sat next to Derek, his body warmth comforting me. Jess and Nathan started talking about Twenty One Pilots and Rolling Stones , the bands they both adored. Phoebe and Drew talked and laughed at their own little world. Alex and Caleb went straight to small talk and making out. Nikki and Eric grabbed the fancy champagne and made a toast
" To Halloween Horrors " Eric said
" To the end of it " Nikki said looking at us as we were alerted, she had no filter. Caleb, Eric, Nathan, Drew, and Derek were obviously confused but brushed it off. We kept talking until we arrived to Derek's house. It was amazing. 3 stories and twice the size of my house, like a Barbie dream house.
" Damn, sick house " Nikki said amazed
" You never said you were rich " I said confused
" I'm not like most guys who flaunt their money. Plus nobody would treat me the same and want to be my friend for the real me " he said making me want to suck his face right then and there, he was so humble
" Your not like most guys" I said smiling
" is that a bad thing " he said awkward and grinning
" never " I said getting closer to him. I was short so I had to look up into his bright blue eyes. Our noses were almost touching making me nervous, but I felt safe with him. Cue the romantic sexy music. I thought until, record scratch, people started to arrive disrupting us changing the mood.
" um let's go inside " he said chuckling nervously. He walked along opening the door to some people from school. Phoebe and Alex both went to my side and my other side and nudged me and started laughing. I scoffed and went in. More and more people started coming. In a matter of 30 minutes the house was full. And more people were arriving in sexy and scandalous costumes. There was a bar in the third floor and a sauna where people went to make out and go through all the bases. The second floor had the huge pool and hot tub and barbecue. The first floor had the arcade room, pool table, and regular living room, rooms , and other stuff. It was your average senior party. People drunk or making out in every corner. Teens breaking stuff or throwing up in the bushes. The party was loud and had the best music. I was with Alex and we were traveling around when a drunk junior clutched my ass.
" ugh you dick " Alex said backing away disgusted.
" come on baby let's go to the sauna and you can put some of that abracadabra on me " he said slurring
" first of all douchebag I'm a witch. Second of all shove your head back up your ass where it was and stay there " I said getting pissed.
" whatever whore " he said pissing me off even more. Alex scoffed and punched him hard in the nose making him bleed as I kicked him hard in the balls making him groan and drop to the groan. People laughed or started to go " uuuuuuuuu" we kept walking as the music kept playing. Derek came out of nowhere and asked if I was okay.
" I saw what happened but someone threw my grandmothers lamp so I couldn't beat the shit out of that guy for you I'm so sorry " he said apologizing making me blush
" it's fine. We dealt with him " Alex said giggling " I'll um, give you guys some space " she said leaving me and winking.
" your not like most girls " he said laughing
" is that a bad thing? " I asked worried
" never " he said making me blush more. Everything was fine and we talked and laughed until around 3:00 am. Every car alarm from the block started going off, shocking everyone in the party. The music shut off and the lights started flickering, the dogs started to bark. I made my way to the room over to Phoebe, Alex, Jess, and Nikki. We were the only ones in the party knowing what was happening. Suddenly there was banging from the inside of the wall. Which scared people and made others scream. Suddenly there, hell itself broke out of the wall making everyone scream and run. He knocked some people down and injured some others. Then he saw us and flew across the room. He said something again in a demonic language. But we stood our ground, we couldn't be afraid. Derek ran and tried to shield me but the anchronubis raised its sharp claws in the air and sliced Derek's stomach making him bleed vigorously.
" DEREK " I screamed as other people and bent down. It started to laugh and roar. I was trying to fight tears but some slipped. Caleb dragged him to the other corner and was about to cry.
" there's no signal for 911 " Regina screamed in the corner people were afraid, making the anchronubis restless for human flesh. He breathed deep and exhaled licking his sharp teeth. That was a perfect distraction. I slid the satchel to them and signaled for them to put the pentagram. Nikki drew fast and correctly making a kind of bubble. It tried to fly out but it was electrocuted and shot back down. I ripped off my crucifix and sit it down as did Phoebe and Jess. Making it shriek. I must've put it down wrong breaking the chain of the bubble. He flung his arm up then down and sharply hit my leg, breaking it. Everybody screamed and I was deaf for a moment seeing the bone popping out. Pain shot through my leg making me drop in pain. I pushed and put the crucifix in the right place this time putting the chain back. I couldn't hear or see my mind went blank. Nathan grabbed a jacket and put it under my head making a pillow. Everybody was struggling and couldn't move or leave. We said our chant and I couldn't bare the pain but I had to, I grabbed the athamae and sharply punctured it's heart perfectly. It's shrieked loud in pain scaring us even more. Alex, Phoebe, Jess, Nikki and I grabbed the satchel.
" GO TO HELL YOU SON OF A BITCH " we yelled. Alex threw the potion and we said the chant. It started to shriek a blood curling, spine tingling, hair rising shrieks and started to break open in fire. It started to speak and shriek in agonizing pain in a demon language. Powers of light started to break out of under its skin, the souls. They went zooming through the air and we couldn't believe our eyes, nobody could. I tried to sit up but I couldn't. Then there was a power of light. It was a boy around my age. He looked exactly like me, it was my dad. And Ms Windell was one of the souls as well. My dad sat down next to me and he looked like a human, not a power of light. He whispered " my baby Gina. I love you and I always will you are brave just like your mother. Thank you " and as quick as he came he left. Then ms Windell said " the savior " after that my world went black. I could only hear movements but I couldn't wake up.
