Chapter 6: Anchronubis

After we ate our pasta and washed the dishes we went upstairs to my room to study the new piece of information that we found out: Anchronubis the ruler of the fiery pits of hell, brother of Lucifer. But the same question went through my head, why us, why the people of Brooklyn New York, why Halloween and what does the pentogram link to? All of this we need to figure out before the day we are supposed to die . No pressure right? Then it hit me...
" guys what time did u get attacked, around 3 " I asked
" yea how'd you know " Jess asked confused
" why? " Nikki asked
" 3:00 am is supposedly witching hour, when the portal between demons and humans opens and it gives demons the chance to go in and out" I said
" so we have some weird witchcraft symbol , and the autopsy records that got leaked in the news says time of death 3:00 am, we are dealing with some serious black magic here" Alex said looking at all of us. Before we could keep talking, we had lost track of time so my mom came in and told us to get to bed,
" hey girls, lights out school is tomorrow " my mom said coming in in her pajamas
" ok mami, goodnight " I said
" goodnight sweet dreams everyone , if you need anything my rooms right across the hall remember " my mom said while giving us all kisses on the forehead.
"Let's get to bed, she's right school tomorrow and after we could get down to the library and check stuff out " Jess suggested
" Yea totally, everyone got their crosses? " I asked to make sure, this was our way out of the attack. We each grabbed my old sleeping bags from summer camps and blankets and set them down in a row on my floor. From the looks on our faces we were terrified, you could read us like a book,
" hey everything is gonna be ok, alright ? " Phoebe said trying to comfort us and herself
" yea totally " Jess said struggling to put a smile on her face. It took awhile but after some time we fell asleep.
* BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP *
The obnoxious screech of the alarm clock woke us all up at 4:30 am in the morning. I woke up groggily but still woke up. We spread out into pairs and put our swimsuits on to take a shower. I was with Alex and Phoebe and Jess and Nikki were together. They took my bathroom and I took my moms bathroom. When we finished we went to do our makeup and get dressed in our outfits for school.
