Carol's POV:

This whole week has been on a down hill spiral between Til getting suspended, Bo coming down with the flu, Tate teething, and Luke arguing with me about parenting.

I can't catch a break with all of this happening at one time, I haven't broken down yet but I'm coming to a point of just wanting to lie on the floor and letting it all flow out. I can't though because I'm an adult and I have responsibilities of making sure my children are cared for.

The last time I heard from Luke was yesterday morning when I told him not to come home on his only day to see us, but I'm regretting it all. I should stay standing up for believing in when it comes to us both knowing what goes on with our kids at the same time but I'm ready to give it all up and have Luke hold me in his arms.

It was 4 when I felt Tate start fussing around beside me. I quickly looked at my phone to see if I had gotten any missed calls or text from anyone important but my phone was dry of them both.

"Hi Taterbug." I smiled at him as he started to rub his eyes and giggle.

"Are you hungry? Want some oatmeal?" I asked, scooping him up from our bed.

He stretched out his chubby arms n legs while I was holding him and started yawning. I sat him in his high chair and began making his breakfast. I heard a squeak from the hardwood floor and assumed it was Til going out for his early morning run at 4:30.

"Be carful out there and leave your ringer on." I slightly hollered, continuing to keep my eyes down on the warm water I was pouring into the oats.

"Yes ma'am." He replied walking out the door careful enough not to slam it.

I was just about done fixing Tate's breakfast when I felt two arms wrap around my waist. I looked down slowly and saw whiskey colored hands, a silver wedding, and a 'C' tattoo. I knew it was Luke. He laid his chin down on my shoulder and whispered into my ear making chills run down my spine.

"I'm sorry baby, I love you, care for you, and appreciate everything you do for this family." His husky voice assured me.

Staying strong, I tightened up my jaw and walked away with the oatmeal, breaking free of his hold on me, and completely ignoring anything he had to say. I pulled up a chair next to Tate and spoon fed him his oatmeal.

"Carol, forgive me please. I'm sorry, I missed you so much." He begged walking towards the baby and I, then pulling up a chair on the other side of Tate. He reached his hand out and touched my arm.

"Please don't touch me." I pulled his hand off of me.

"Caroline, please baby. I'm sorry, I don't know what else to say." He said concerned.

"I don't wanna hear it." I stood my ground.

"Til told me the reason he swung first was because some kid was hitting on you but not in a normal way. He considers you another mother and no one is disrespectful to any of his mothers so he fought the other kid in your defense." He explained.

"Have you had coffee?" I asked him.

"No why?" He looked at me confused.

"It's nearly five in the morning, you don't have coffee and you somehow managed to not be too tired to tell me what I wanted to hear a day ago." I threw his argument back in face.
