Dedicated to my mum!!!!
If someone asked her why she wanted the responsibility of having two kids, she wouldn't say that it was her duty. Or that they were hardly any trouble, because believe it or not, they were.
No, she would say that she was doing it because of love.
A love so fierce, it knew no bounds.
Her son, was now an adult, and quiet independent. He didn't need her to fuss over him or worry about him, but she was his mother. Of course she would worry about him. He was just starting his career, and even though he had left the nest early, the workplace was a lot different from schools, and colleges.
Who she did have to worry about was her daughter.
Her daughter, was only just a teenager, and rather independent too. She supposed that she got it after watching her brother. While she was independent, she wasn't quiet responsible. No, that would be a lie. She was very responsible, if you over looked one thing, her health. Her daughter's health was a disaster. Either she wasn't eating well, or a sleep cycle was off, or she didn't exercise enough.
Both of them, like all children went through their fair share of ups, and downs. Got into trouble, and sometimes managed to charm their way out of it. Cried, lost their tempers, and smiled.
Oh! How she hated the fact that she couldn't stop all the downs, and make sure that their were only smiles. However, it was either out of her control, or a necessity for them to become fine adults, good parents, and lead happy lives.
She would always want the very best for them, her intentions would always be true.
How could they not be?
Both children were her creations. She had nurtured them, raised them. In return, they had brought her joy beyond belief. They turned her world upside down, and showed her a new meaning to life.
Sure, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. They had hurt her, and she had hurt them, but it always ended with hugs, and, kisses, and a new understanding of one another.
She knew, that they loved her with all their hearts. She also knew that she loved them much more. Much more than they could imagine, until later in their lives, until they became parents.
And if someone asked her why she wanted the responsibility of having two kids. She would say it was because of love.
A love so fierce, it knew no bounds.
A parent's love.
A Mother's Love.
